Mr.Kim is awesome!!! 11/15/2014

Mr.Kim made drivers education very fun. But most importantly, informative. I feel now after taking the class from him that I can drive anywhere. He makes it a fun environment, therefore a more effective leaning environment because he is also very serious when it comes to the rules of the road. Highly recommend more

Great place to learn how to drive 11/6/2014

my experience was great the teachers were very good and helpful and try to make you feel comfortable with driving. I would recommend this to all my friends more

Parent Observation 10/28/2014

I had a parent observation drive with my son and instructor, Gayan. It was my sons first freeway drive. It was great to observe the teachings of Defensive Drive School. Gayan was so calm, the call outs, cautions of his surroundings and dangerous situations were great to see how to become a confident and aware driver. This has helped me instruct my son on our drives, I must say, it has helped me become a better defensive driver! It is great for the kids and you!! more

Great education, very flexiable and willing to work with us 9/12/2014

Defensive Driving School is great because they are completely flexible. When we needed to make last minute adjustments they were completely understanding. A teenage summer schedule can be pretty inconsistent and they are understanding of that. We would often make last minute changes for sports practices. The education and dedication that Defensive Driving School is amazing and the flexibility is beyond belief. more

I learned a lot and I feel confident to drive now. 9/5/2014

Defensive Driving School is great. My brother was taking drivers ed at the same time but at a different school and we both felt like I learned much more at Defensive Driving School. It was more accommodating. I had to leave early to go to college and they were able to get me through the written test and the driving test in the same week. more

Bad experence and dropped out. 7/14/2014

Dropped out because of bad experiences. Poor teaching quality with a pretend knowledge of physics. Abusive with the scare tactics. Not appropriate for a person with serious health issues. Not appropriate for anyone that has had folks close to them involved in a serious accident. Smelly teaching facility. Difficult communications. Difficult scheduling. Refused prorated refund. Did not accept the review. Wrote a very rude response to the Review. Bad business practice more

horrible experiance. Dropped out. Refund request not granted 7/9/2014

Poor teaching. Poor planning. Poor communication. Rude. Abusive. Nothing good to say about them. RESPONSE FROM Defensive Driving School: We regret that we were unable find a solution for you to finish up the course next year. State regulations won't allow us to do that. As we have discussed, we will allow you to re-enroll in our course at a future date at a reduced rate. more

Amazing driving school 6/19/2014

I go to the Kent Defensive Driving School and it is a great place to go. My instructor Gayan is very knowledgeable and thoroughly answers any questions you have. I have learned so much from this school and know that everything I have learned will help me when I drive and become a safe, defensive driver. more

I am giving them a chance myself but if you did 6/12/2014

It is a great place to waste your time and money 6/6/2014

if anyone want to Waste their Time and Money, Go to this driving school! One week earlier, my friends went to that driving school and took a road test, then he failed the road test because of some minor errors(some errors are even unreasonable), few days later, my friend borrowed my car and went to the driver licensing office to took a road test. This time he passed the road test. Here is a Warning to everyone, if you can't pay a large amount of money(it could be nearly $1000 dollars) to register their so called driving package, you won't get a chance to pass the road test in their driving school. I know some of you may not believe my opinion, You can go to yelp.com and there is more bad reviews for this driving school. more

Overall very positive experience 6/1/2014

I signed up for 3 classes for the stick shift driving lessons, not having learned when I was younger. When traveling out of the country, I was often faced with manual drive rental cars as the only option. My instructor was Glenn and he was extremely patient with me and made the experience a positive one. The first lesson was just going over the basics of starting the car and moving from a stopped position to 1st gear. The following lesson was learning how to drive in traffic and shifting to higher gears, with the final lesson actually driving on the freeway for a short time. I feel much more confident driving a stick shift and while I may never be perfect at it, I know that I can get around when needed. more

Great instructors in Carol and Bill in Bellevue 5/31/2014

Bill and Carol were great instructors. I learned a great deal from them. Made me feel comfortable. Passed my test this week on a second attempt. Would recommend them any day. Thanks! more

Great place! 5/15/2014

I found this company through the DOL's website. I registered for both the written and driving test for the Bellevue office. Although I had to go to a different location for the written test because they didn't have it at Bellevue, but after I've passed the written test, I was able to take the driving test the following day! I loved how fast this was because I remember, 10 years ago, the DOL was never this quick! Would definitely recommend. more

This class is done by teachers who really care to see you succeed. 4/26/2014

The teachers are patient, clearly state objective and gently correct, meaning they talk calm and collective. They are not easily rattled and they protect their students and their rights. The teachers feel more like a Uncle or Grandpa that want to see you and your child succeed to be safe and have a great experience at learning to drive. I appreciate that having Asberger's Syndrome is not an issue to these teachers. They are very equipped to assist our child to help him feel confident, and assist them in being great drivers. I am totally empressed and I will be sending my other children to this driving school as well. Thank you for assisting my son to be His best. I am forever grateful. :] more

It's a joke 4/25/2014

I'm an experienced driver from a foreign country. I've been driving for more than 6 years and maintain a clean record. I failed twice by the same female examiner from the Bremerton location. She is absolutely rude and her attitude is not helping me to pass the test. She would not give clear direction. She told you to 'turn at the next corner' instead of saying which street or the entrance in front of the mall. If you are unfamiliar with the area you couldn't really tell where to turn. And she would use this very disappointed tone said 'just keep going straight' and sighed REALLY LOUD. I knew her judgement was a joke when she went over my deduction and she told me I did not turn enough when backing up the car. When she demonstrated, she said I needed to 'always $@!#% half your body over' in order to clearly see. And she couldn't even do it with the seat belt on. She needed to unbuckle her seat belt in order to '$@!#% half of her body over. This cannot be the right instruction. If you absolutely need to take the test with defensive driving school, never ever take it from the Bremerton location. The lady will make you feel horrible about yourself. more

BAD EXPERIENCE 4/22/2014

I am an experienced driver from a foreign country. I've been driving for more than 6 years with clean record- no accident, no tickets and not even scratch on the car. I took class from Seattle because I figured the rule might be different and the instructor was okay. He made me felt confidence in my driving as he kept telling me I would pass the test each class. The bad experience goes to the female examiner from Bremerton location. She was rude from the beginning. The instruction she gave you was unclear. She would told you make a left at the next 'corner'. When you are driving it's hard to immediately know which street she's talking about especially if you are new to the area. She could totally said the street name or the entrance before the gas station etc. And if you missed the turn she would used this VERY disappointed tone to tell you to keep driving. She would sighed extremely loud to make you feel like $@!#%. I disagree with some of her deduction but as I justified myself by saying that was why I did that, she would give me this look as I was offending her. I totally would not recommend people to take class from here as the class is useless ( I took the class and I still can't pass the test? my friend who DIDN'T take the class pass on their first try). And do not take the test from the Bremerton area and that female would make you feel horrible about yourself. I felt like an idiot after the test. She basically told me I was wasting money. more
