In early February, I placed three parrots, with cages, with Debbie on a temporary basis. I was very clear that the parrots and cages, worth about $8,000, were to remain my property. I made it very clear that the birds were simply on loan, and were not to be sold or given away.
A couple of weeks later, I went to check on the welfare of the parrots, and she had sold two of the birds, with cages, for $1,300 each! I had no place to keep the remaining bird, and agreed to let her keep it for a while longer, after she assured me she was very attached to the bird. About a month later, I went to check on the remaining bird, and she had traded it for a different bird.
She provided contact information for the new owner of only one of the three birds, but refuses to tell me who has my other two birds. I am gathering information now in preparation for a lawsuit to recover my $8,000 loss. I can do nothing about the loss of my three babies.
Do not trust Debbie with a stray mouse, much less your beloved pet - and please, help spread the word about this very dishonest, immoral business person.
