Recently had a nice young service tech named Bobby come out. I did not buy my stove from Deans but, they came out and serviced it, and cleaned it beautifully. Bobby made some suggestions on operating it and showed me a few tips I did not know. He was kind, respectful and willing to assist me , he took his time and I know I tried his patience. Thanks again , I highly recommend Deans , they did not try to change parts or add anything extra- Bobby thanks again it was a delight and next time I will have biscotti and expresso for you-you're a doll!! more

Avoid Dean's at All Costs 12/29/2011

In response to the last post, I can assure you that the review I am providing is not phony. I am (very unfortunately and regrettably) a customer of Dean's, and I have no interest in saying anything false about the people at Dean's. That said, I cannot advise people strongly enough to go somewhere else. The previous post is patently false in several respects; most notably, the claim that the folks at Dean's care ""very much"" about their customers is entirely untrue. I can recommend Dean's if, for some reason, you enjoy incompetent staff and installers or unconcerned customer service staff. In response to the suggestion of the previous writer, I (for one) would not post my address online for (what should be) obvious reasons. Allow that post to be instructive: individuals who work for Dean's put just that much though into what they say. more

Be cautious of phony Reviews 11/13/2009

We at Dean's want to make sure the public is weary of phony reviews such as the last post. We care very much about our customers and always have, so upon review of the last post, we have done plenty of searching and has lead us to believe this is a phony review for the following reasons:\r #1- Stoves we carry do not require ""doors"", yes A DOOR, but the door is crated with the stove by the manufacturer and would not be missing.\r #2 - We have NEVER received a call from an attorney regarding the where abouts of a Mantel or doors.\r #3- We would never ""leave"" a package as valuable as doors or a mantel at a home without the Clients permission, thus leaving out any concern of the valuable merchandise to be ""stolen""\r #4 - if a salesperson, or our GM ( Mark TISO ) is unable to take calls, we have a voice mail box that we empty throughout the day, and every night to ensure all phone calls are returned on a timely fashion. ( Mark remembers EVERY client he works with with a passion )\r \r These are a few reasons on a long list. Dean's has made many progressive moves in the Hearth Industry to insure we take care of everyone. Weather it is expanding our Service Dept another 5,000 sq. ft, Install Dept 7,000 sq ft of added space, and a combined 15 new Service and Install techs. Deans Stove & Spa recommends reviews from sites where clients names and address are available to insure it is a REAL customer. We hope to see you at New England's Largest Hearth Shop! Do not go there 11/3/2009

Ordered a stove for my home and when installation time came they would not return calls. After 3 weeks of dealing with them they deliver the main stove but not the doors or mantle. Another 3 weeks goes by and finally I have my attorney call and they tell him they dropped it off and someone must have stolen it before I got home. Make a long story short I drive up there and get the same idiot that sold me the stove (Mark ""I'm a loser"" Tiseo) and he doesn't recognize me so I proceed to ask this idiot how long it takes to get the doors and mantle if I ordered today and he says about a week. Then I tell him who I am and you haven't returned my calls in six weeks and the bs of my stuff being stolen. Since he doesn't want me to make a huge scene he tells me my stuff is in the back and they magically appear. Bottom line this place is a joke and I can't believe they are still in business.
