I am in agreement with the other reviews in regards to the services received at Day Spa & Salon at Barton Creek Mall. Had I read the review before I went, I would not have gone. Even with the $120 gift certificate that I had been given. My daughter and I went for both manis and pedis. When I called to make the appt the person on the phone couldn't wait to get me off the phone. I was surprised that they actually had my name in their books when I arrived. The girl doing my nails had horrible customer service. She kept pushing more expensive services and I had to tell her 'NO' several times. She used an emory board that had obviously been used on someone else. I should have gotten up right then, but I lacked the courage to be so rude directly to someone's face. And while she was 'massaging' my arms and hands she was turned around watching the television! Add all that to the fact that all of the aestheticians are speaking whatever language they are speaking. She said she was from Cambodia. I tried to strike up a conversation with her, but had such a hard time understanding her that I just gave up. She was not a pleasant person at all. If they had zero stars, that's what I would have given them. I don't think they earned even one star. more

I went here on a Sunday afternoon, desperate for a pedicure. Turns out this was the wrong place to go. The amount I paid for a pedicure certainly wasn't worth it. The place I usually frequent only charges $25 (for french) whereas I paid $35-$40 here! And the place I usually go to even offers a deluxe one for only $30. Ridiculous! I would've expected more for the price I paid. more

I understand that ratings should be for services received there, but I called in to get more information and they were so off-putting even over the phone. I called to ask about the different facial services and what method was used for pore cleansing or extractions. The person who answered the phone surprisingly replied with ""I don't know. You have to come in and ask the aesthetician yourself."" I tried to remain courteous and said ""If it's something that I don't want to do, I sure don't want to go all the way there to find out. Is there someone I can ask?"" Then he handed the phone to one of the aestheticians, she was polite for the most part and when I asked about a particular service and what products they use, she basically said that I just need to make an appointment and come in. Then she said ""We're gonna need to wrap this up now because I have another customer waiting in line. Okay?"" Wow. Talk about making you welcome. If they operate with that kind of attitude and mindset, I wouldn't want any service from there, because there's a more important person behind ya and they just gonna need 'to wrap this up'. That was a sure fire way to lose a business. more

I had a gift certificate for a pedicure and decided I would knock out two birds with one stone and get my pedi and bikini wax at the same time before a beach vacation. My pedicure was not worth the $35 they charge. I get better service paying $25 at many other places. The aesthetician who did my bikini wax was horrible. I had several other bikini waxes at other locations so I know what good is. First of all she didn't speak much English and did not listen to my requests. I walked out with a random bikini wax and it was obvious the esthetician didn't care if she got all the hair in one section or not. Mind you this was the second time I had a bikini wax at this location. The wax was performed with so little care or skill as was my first one. I gave this location two tries for pedis and waxes and do not recommend wasting any of your $$ on its services. Pros: Location Cons: Overpriced pedis. Unskilled staff for bikini waxes. more
