HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!! 6/28/2012

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO BURN!!!! Found exactly same pair of glasses with prescription for HALF THE PRICE at Dr. Ratty's office not only in Bakersfield but Laguna Beach, Fashion Island and Beverly Hills. They do not have an up to date selection at all! I paid almost $1000.00 dollars, JUST TO BE ABLE TO SEE. Lost my glasses at a Laker game and definitely should have shopped around first but was in a hurry because I can't drive, or watch a movie without my prescription eyeglasses. All I can say is that they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced!!!! They must be doing pretty good if they can afford to repel customers so readily. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT in this economy!! more

We recently took our 16 year old son to see Dr Li and were completly blown away with the service we received and how thorough the screening process was. The knowledge that was imparted to us about his condition was worth every penny that we spent. Not only does my son think his new specs are cool he doesn't mind wearing them when he's supposed to, and I attribute that to how Dr Li interacted with him and educated him on his condition. Thanks for a great experience. more

Best in Town 5/13/2010

I just moved back into town and was looking for a new OD and it seems like everyone I know goes to Dr. Li and Dr. Liao. They came highly recommended from my mother-in-law, best friend, and even my pediatrician who doesn't seem to recommend anyone. I have been lucky to met both of them and they both lived up the hype. I can see why there are the best in town. It's nice to walk in and have the doctor not only remember you but know your family. It doesn't get more Bakersfield (hometown comfort) than that! more

Dr Li is Amazing! 5/13/2010

Dr Li and his staff are amazing! They were wonderful with helping me choose the perfect pair of glasses, and patient as I browsed their huge selection as long as I wanted. I will be using Dr. Li for years to come! -Sarah more

Highly Recommended 5/13/2010

I have used Dr. Li and Liao exclusively for the past three years. Their service has always exceeded my expectations. I never feel as if they are "rushing" to see another patient. Both they and their staff take time to examine my eyes and are happy to answer any questions or concerns I may have. Their selection and quality of frames is excellent as well. more

Dr. Li is the best! 5/13/2010

Dr. Li came highly recommended! I have a teenager who threw away her glasses once she got into junior high school. They were not "cool" for her image. Not only did Dr. Li provide a thorough exam of her eyes, he engaged her in the dialogue of her vision and proper care of her eyes. He spent all the time needed to answer her questions, address her concerns, etc. Dr. Li got my child to do something I couldn't!...my daughter is happily back in glasses and thinks Dr. Li is cooler than mom!! more

What a great experience! 5/13/2010

I?ve been going to OD?s every year or two for the past 20 years, and this was the FIRST time that any of them had not only examined my eyes and vision, but took an extra 15 minutes of time to show me images of MY actual eyes, not a plastic model of an eye, and explain to me exactly how vision works. It?s that kind of extra effort and level of expertise that keeps me going back to Li & Lio. If you?re looking top-of-the-line service in an OD, and want experience that you can trust, you?ve just found it! I would highly recommend Li & Lio to anyone with eyes. more

Protect your kids! 5/13/2010

We had an excellent experience with our family at their office. My son had eye problems that our pediatrician and other eye doctors said not to worry, you son will grow out of it. Thanks to Li & Liao, my son got the treatment he needed and saved him from potentially a much worse outcome. more

After going to see Dr. Li for the first time I have to say, I'm really happy. His attentiveness was on par with the best \r OD's that I've seen. Not to mention it was a really nice, friendly place! more

awesome eye doctors and an absolute beautiful office. it is by far the best customer service i have ever experienced by any eye doctor company. you can call and they are very efficient and the office staff is very personal and caring. i would suggest anyone looking for an eye doctor to go see Drs Li and Liao. not only do they carry reading glasses but they have an impressive selection of designer sunglasses that range from juicy coture to christian dior. Love this place! more

Great service and very patient! 5/13/2010

My experience at Li & Lao was great. I'm 44 and my eyes definitely are what they used to be. My prescription had changed quite a bit. They, I'm assuming, went out of their way trying different contact lenses over a period of a few months until I found the perfect pair for me. They were extremely patient with me. The service was great and the staff were extremely patient. I was headed out of town on vacation and needed a pair while I was waiting for my order to come in. They had a pair waiting at the front desk on short notice. That's great service! more

Woudln't recommend 2/27/2009

I wasn't very happy with the service. I probably won't return nor recommend this place to anyone else.\r \r 1. They charge $30 to do an optional digital eye scan for common eye diseases. This is what other OD's do for free, at least the ones I've visited before. Albeit without the fancy digital print of the retina.\r \r 2. I personally don't like that the first thing that happens once you get into the exam room is that you get a card for the appointment next year. I mean thanks for being so considerate, I guess, but at least give it at the end of the exam.\r \r 3. I'm under the impression that're trying to convey that picking out glasses is quick thing that you do right after the exam. Alright, the exam is done, now go out and select your glasses. I don't know about other people but this is not something I buy that casually.\r \r 4. Even after getting determining my prescription Yuh-Jen still suggest I try reading the computer screen in the office without glasses. Yes that works great....if I' more

Good service 12/27/2005

Ihave been a patient here for years. The doctor is friendly and so is the staff. The wait time isn't too bad either. They even make sure you happy with you glasses. The only downfall with any eyeglass company is what insurance you have. The better the insurance the faster you get your glasses back and the better choices you get. Dr Uminsky has a oretty good selection. more
