As a former student, I would not recommend this school to anyone. Their instructors are so unprofessional and some of them have no experience working at a salon. They took out a l...

I am currently a student at DP, and from what I've seen, the general majority of problems that arise at this school are caused by disrespect between select students and instructors. I feel like this is a problem you get when you put a bunch of women together, so I'm not really complaining. I have been giving my all since I started and I feel like the education I am getting out of it is really going to prepare me for where I want to go once I graduate. I feel like a lot of the negative reviews that this school gets are from students who have been less-than-professional during their time spent at DP. If you're looking at this school VS. Regency? Pick DP. You won't regret your choice. I've heard horror stories from that school.. (Oh and one last thing: The class sizes depend on the start date. I started in summer and my class size is about 15 people. If you start in fall or winter, the class sizes will be quite a bit bigger.) more

I am a current student at this school. I was so excited to begin classes, until the second week in. This school is extremely unorganized, the staff are rude and unprofessional. Not to mention the size of the classrooms are so small and all the students are just sort of crammed together. The students are loud and obnoxious and when you walk into the school, you can hear the girls on the clinic floor yelling and singing obnoxiously. I like the curriculum but the staff is what really destroys this school. more

good education 2/1/2010

I disagree with the other review. as a former student myself, I feel this school was definitly worht my time and money. I left feeling prepared for the field and was able to gain my licensure and find employment in due order. I think anyone considering this trade needs to consider the fact that any school consisting of that many woman together that many days a week will have some drama, but for the most part the staff did their best to keep things professional and focused on education. Pros: quality education, good products Cons: come on, its beauty school more

extreme unprofessionalism 8/10/2009

No good. As a former student I would recommend this school to noone. The level of UNprofessionalism amongst the staff is absolutely ridiculous. Although the administrator is somewhat professional, and does do a fine job of selling the school, do not be fooled! The seemly nice client floor and a seemly affordable tuition price tag is simply not worth the treatment you receive from the staff here. more
