I had a studio shoot with my family and was very disappointed. As an actress, I knew how to pose myself, but none in my family are performers, and really didn't know what poses looked good on them, or how to pose. So I depended on Daphne to direct them. Well, she didn't. And there were multiple pictures of my family members, all in the exact same pose, all looking bad. I really should have been looking over her shoulder, but I thought she was a professional and knew how to pose non-models and actors. Overall, nice studio, and I'm sure you can get great shots, but don't depend on her to make sure you look good. more

Over the last year, my husband and I have been prompted by our children to update our family portrait that is displayed prominently above our fireplace. We were looking for a meaningful place to have our portrait taken and immediately thought of Central Park. After searching and contacting several photographers who never got back to us, I decided to Google “Central Park Photographers.” We were leaving the following day for NYC, but I remained hopeful that we would find just the right person. I found Daphne’s website and was immediately impressed with her work. I knew Daphne was the person we had been looking for – the right person to create and capture beautiful images of our family. Within a matter of hours of emailing her, Daphne responded to let me know she was available during the time we would be vacationing in NYC. A few days later we met her at the Globe at Columbus Circle and a magical experience began for our entire family. We all felt like we had known Daphne for a long time. She was so easy to work with, and my husband and I were impressed with how well she worked with our teenage children. She made all of us feel very comfortable, she made us laugh and we all had a wonderful time. Daphne took to heart that Central Park was a very special place for us as a family. She captured that essence within the photos and the results are amazing! We just placed an order and can’t wait to have the pictures framed and in our house. My now husband and I were going to NYC from Denmark to get married and since we were travelling alone we needed a good photographer as well as a witness for the wedding ceremony. Dear readers, from my personal experience, I would like to highly recommend Daphne Borowski's photography. I flew from Dubai to New York to have photos taken by her. \r \r I am a flight attendant in the UAE, and I was desperate to find a professional photographer who can just do a few corporate head & shoulder shots as well as a few full-length shots. I'm an actor here in NYC and am extremely fortunate to have had Daphne take my latest headshots. I wish I had found her when I first came to the city - not that my previous shots were terrible, but that undefinable extra ""something"" in Daphne's photos is apparent. She is a superb photographer who creates a relaxed, fun and comfortable atmosphere during your session which allows you to just be yourself, which is essential for truly effective headshots. You're able to forget about the camera and avoid the awkward artificiality that the process can sometimes become with other photographers.
