Great Training program. I went thru and everything went as expected. Everyone was great from the office people to the instructors I had a great experience. The State examiners seemed to really have a good feeling about Daly's Students as well. I would highly recommend this school to all my family and friends. more

overall a great school they need to increase the road driving time for each student. They also need to update their training tools on yard maneuvers so the instructions match the print outs they give you. more

When I saw that you could get your CDL license in 17 days I thought this is too good to be true. The trick is that you can get it you will not definatley get it regardless of your skill. The guy mike in recruiting explained it to me when I spoke to him. I was in a class of 12 people. First week was classroom and we all got our permits. The 2nd and 3rd weeks were Yard and Road training. These were 10 hour days and we were 3 people per truck so every 20 minutes you switched out the seat. I got a lot of time behind the wheel because of this. When the 17 days were up 9 people passed the test at the school and were allowed to test at the DDS. 6 out of those 9 passed everything the first time. The other 3 passed the one part of the exam the second time they tested by Friday of that week as well. So by the second test within 1 week everyone had passed in my class. The people who didn't get to test at all were all really struggling with the training. One girl went thru the program 2 more times before she passed the test. I spoke with her and she said she didn't pay anything additional for all that extra training.\r \r Great School I recommend to everyone\r John... more

I had a great time at the school. It was kind of hard at first but after a day or two it was good. Everyone was nice and helped you out to make sure you would do your best. I didn't get any points taken off of my maneuvers at the DDS. I went to take my Road test today and passed on my first shot. When I went in to Daly's to pick up my certificate, they asked if I needed help finding a job. I filled out an application for the top company that I wanted right there in the office and they faxed it in as I was standing there. I recommend this school for everyone that wants to drive. more

My company sent me to Daly's to obtain my CDL. All of the instructors were very good at their job. I went to the DDS and passed everything on the first shot. I could not have been more pleased with anything or anyone at Daly's. One of the first things that the front office people asked me when I went to Daly's was if I needed help with job placement. Since I already had a job, I didn't need any help but I know that if I would have that they would have done everything in their power to help. My company was very pleased with Daly's as well. Since I graduated, they have sent another student to Daly's who also passed on his first shot and another will be starting next week. The front office is very friendly and helpful and Mr. Taylor is very professional in the classroom. If he says that you need to know something, then you are going to need to know if for the test. I am very grateful for all the help. more

Since I had joined Daly's truck driving school for my class B CDL, my day started with classroom work with Rick Taylor. There was two days of classroom instructions and learning the book and then the rest of the days were with a trainer. Rick Taylor was a good teacher and I had learned everything from the classroom quickly. I went to the DMV after the two instructional classes and then passed the permit test on my first try. \r \r Now, onto the trainer, his name was Brian. We learned our maneuvers the first two days. Brian's teaching method could use some work, when teaching and if someone had done something wrong, he would yell at whoever in a rude tone instead of just saying what we were doing wrong and how to fix it in a more calm and serious tone. I know most of these teachers are just truck drivers but I would suggest some get some educational training and how to teach someone without yelling at them or offending them. \r \r Overall, I enjoyed my experience with this school and I would recommend it. I took the pretrip inspection/skills/road test and passed it on my first try. \r more

Poor CDL Training School\r Spent $4,000 for training, 8 students per truck while I was training, rude staff and instructors, failed road test after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment and could only practice at 5 pm for 1 hour before next test with state. No placement assistance was offered and trucks broke down frequently. \r more

Dalys helped me when I decided to change my career to truck driving. I feel like they did everything that they could do to help me with getting my license. The instructors know what they are doing and have experience. Its not a ""i teach because i cannot do"" environment. I would send any of my loved ones that were looking to get there license to this school. Thank you Dalys for all your help! more

I went through Daly's two months ago. They were very helpful and encouraging during my time there. They helped me with my job placement afterwards and i really felt like i was prepared to go to work driving right after i graduated. I was so nervous before i tested and the instructors that were there helped me to get some confidence so that i wouldnt be. more

When a former student told me that someone had written negative comments about this school I figured I should write about my experience since Daly's helped me immensely. I lost my job back in 2010 and have searched for work and have only found temp job or jobs that pay next to nothing. I used the federal grant program (who highly recommend Daly's because of their high job placement percentage rate) to pay for the school. Everyone I ran into students included were so helpful. The companies that hire students come to the school so you can get an idea of what each company is about. There is one on one time with an intructor at no extra charge! Thank you Daly's, wonderful experience. more

I am not sure what the non-student below is complaining about, but I had no issues with my training or testing process through Daly's. She states they financed, but then she states they were forgotten about once they paid the money so which was it? I didn't have the entire money to pay the school plus I have bad credit they financed me at 6% interest rate and my monthly payments were due two months after I started school. So she is correct in that sense if you aren't finished (school is just 17-days) with school in two months then your payments are due. I went to school three weeks, tested the following week failed the yard portion, I requested extra practice I came for an hour of one on one practice then went down a week later and passed. The instructors are more than helpful giving tips and spending extra time if you are not getting something. I guess you can't make everyone happy including non-students more

BEWARE of Daly's is an understatement and I think the rest of these reviews are lies..lies and more lies My husband has taken and passed the course at the school and was sent to DDS weeks after finishing without being in like a reviewer said a old and worn out truck without NO practice in those weeks prior to being summoned with a 1 day notice from the puppet of a secretary who claims she don't know what's going on half the time. Many weeks have passed by with only being allowed to practice twice within 4 weeks. He was finally sent to DDS again after 1 hours of practice, and again was unable to pass a maneuver due to lack of training. We have called several times and keep getting the run around from the puppet and claiming that the owner must give permission to be able to send back to DDS, mind you with no training, how can a person pass ? Yes they do forget you once they get your money. They do send out people while your in the yard practicing, just to see if they can snatch up slaves to drive for and pay you nothing. If something is not done soon, I'm calling the better business Bureau ASAP and report what I have witnessed with my own eyes. How many people have passed within the last 6 months and actually have their CDL's on hand with a Job?? Now that is the question.\r Oh I forgot, You start paying your balance from the finance company before you finish the course.....BBB I'm calling more

Beware of Daly's !!! They say that they don't give up on you but that's not really true. That's strictly on their terms. Find another truck driving school. This is a crash course. Some of the instructors just shout at you instead of trying to teach you. You get very little practice time in the truck. You are sharing practice time with 3 other students besides yourself. The practice trucks are really beat up and are difficult to shift because they have been so abused. more

Excellent School, the Daly's know their stuff and how to run a school. I passed first shot and now off to work. more

Excellent school, just passed my license test last week. The owner actually is there with you at the test site, he is real helpful. Gave a lot of pointers more

Be very careful about going to this school! 4/21/2011

This school is all about moving as many people through its doors as possible. First thing you are only learning what is on the cdl test. This is a crash course in truck driving! I have found in my experience and having conversations with other students. That Daly?s pretty much is done with you after they get their money. If you?re going to take cdl courses look at the community colleges. Most trucking companies don?t care for 3 week schools. Lastly Daly?s claims to help find you a job. This is not true! They allow recruiters to visit during your lunch break. You do all the leg work to find a job. Most of these recruiters are vultures preying on desperate people! Please do your research! more

I appreciate my expierence 8/17/2009

I went to Daly's in September 2008. From day one, I became close to the female staff. I was the only female student in the school at the time and still felt comfortable. Pros: A staff that cares, patience, Cons: can't think of any anymore more

I just want to say thank you to everyone at Daly's. NOt to mention names but several years ago I attended another school in ATL and it doesn't even compare to Daly's. Unfortunately if you don't use your CDL for a few years you have to return to school. Daly's is the best, the trucks are new models, the building is awesome, even the owner is out there training. Pros: Patience, price, job placement Cons: train in rain and long hours more
