I have lived in LA for 2 years now and have been in search of the perfect salon and hair stylist..and I finally found one. Cush salon has such a cool vibe and I felt taken care of...

Worst

I don't hate the haircut I got, but it is pretty far from the trim I asked for... Maybe because my stylist was a little young, she did the cut she wanted to do instead of the one ...

I WAITED AND WAITED AND WAITED 7/7/2007

I had a horrible experience at the kush salon. The stylist who did my hair, who I won't even name made me wait for over a hour. Then because HE was so distracted the whole time I ended up being in that chair for almost three hours. For a bad and extremely expensive haircut. Not worth it. Best Hair Stylist 7/4/2007

Darnell at Cush gave me a cut and a color and it changed my life. I felt so much more attractive, people looked at me differently, the style flattered my face, the color flattered my complexion, he really cared about how I looked and asked about the amount of maintainance I'd be able to put into styling it. He cares that I look hot & attractive in my hair and I do. This summer I decided to go blond for the first time. I trusted him to make me look beautiful without looking like an average la bimbo. My hair still looks great, he gave me just what I wanted and considered the type of person I am so it best fit my true self. This stylist is the best I've ever been to. He gives excellent results that are lifechanging! I'm so greatful to have him! Pros: Friendliness, Food, Professionalism, Attitude, Skill, Care more

Three strikes, you're out. 6/29/2007

First time I went to the salon - fabulous. \r Second time - good, but I longed for that ""first"" time experience and end result.\r Third time - terrible - I went home, cried, then took out my sissors and cut my own hair! (Stylist was distracted, unfocused and made no effort to make sure client was satisfied. Very disappointing and hardly worth $150.)\r \r Lesson: change hairstyists every second cut! \r \r \r more

Great Guys Haircuts! 6/10/2007

My girlfriend sent me to Patrice and it looked awesome. Sent my friends and they dug their cool looks' (they're in a band - so you know how that goes). Highly recommend you go to Patrice if you're looking for someone who knows what they're doing!! We had a great time getting cushy at Cush.\r more

It's such a relief to find a Stylist that listens to what you want and cuts and colors your hair to suit you perfectly. Patrice has done my hair 3 times now and each time, my hair looks better than the last. \r I've been looking for someone who's reliable and consistent for ages. more

ALIZABETH DOES GREAT EXTENSIONS!!!!! 4/11/2007

After researching hair extensions and deciding HAIRLOCKS were the best choice for me, I was referred to ALIZABETH DENMAN AT CUSH SALON. As a first timer, I was a little scared, but Alizabeth was so knowledgeable and understanding, she immediately put me at ease. I wanted more fullness and length, and most of all--for it to look natural...MINE!!! Alizabeth completely took care of me, my hair looks great, and my friends can't believe it's extensions! Cush Salon is a gem. Hector is fantastic and the owner operates her salon as gently as a seamstress and as fun as a Billy Joel concert. \r \r Jasmine in the cafe is wonderful. The creations she has created from scratch are true Cush Salon signatures. You must have one of their Tonics! The Elixir Tonics are light, flavorful and They are the perfect complement to an afternoon in the salon with impeccable staff and divine cuisine. \r \r Most salons are very stuffy, very off-putting and create a very tense environment; Cush Salon is a salon that you will never leave. that the best cafe in the world is at cush salon. jasmine, the cook, can pretty much make anything to satisfy any craving. my favorite is the ""chassi"" or the ""caprese"" or the salads,or the wraps, or her breakfast burito. i don't know, i love it all. also, she makes the best latte's in town!\r she should have her own restaurant! Cush rocks! 2/10/2007

I've had my hair cut by Hector and my hair colored by Martine, and they sent me home looking like a rock star. I love the relaxed atmosphere, and everyone at Cush is totally friendly. All that, and the food from the Cafe is scrumptious! Jasmine (she makes all the food) is a genius in the kitchen, and should be running a restaurant of her own. Try the chicken bacon quesadilla with Tapatio yogurt, or the turkey, brie and cranberry sandwich on ciabatta. They're addictive. more

Best Salon is Los Angeles 2/1/2007

Cush Salon is by far the best salon in Los Angeles. I've been going there for years. For starters, the space is gorgeous, beautiful brick and high ceilings, on trendy Robertson Blvd. There is a restaurant in the back of the salon, which serves incredible food. The menu always changes. I go to Chassi, she is one of the owners and if you go to her you will leave there looking amazing everytime. She only hires the best people, so anyone you go to there --you are in good hands, and everyone is hip to the latest trends in hair, extensions, eyelash extensions, hair products, etc. They sell Davines and Kerastase and if you buy the products, your hair willl stay very healthy, in great shape.......and they tell you what to buy and how to care for your hair. The vibe, the music, and the service is incredible. You will not be disappointed. more

Patrice Perrone is SPECTACULAR!! She has been doing my hair for years and it never fails....I ALWAYS get compliments! I would highly recommend her. Cush is awesome..the atmosphere is cool and the staff are always very welcoming. The cafe is a major perk...the food is delicious. more

ALAN MARTINEZ is INCREDIBLE! 1/11/2007

Alan Martinez is a genius when it comes to hair! Alan has been my hair stylist for the past 5 years and people literally stop me to ask who does my hair. All of my friends who've tried Alan become regular clients and I have one friend who flies down from San Francisco to have Alan cut and color her hair. Alan's expertise is his knowledge of ever changing hair trends. He can give you a classic cut but it would be a shame not to let him freshen up your look with his famous layering technique! He's always willing to work with me and my preferences but he would never let me leave his chair looking like any other girl in Los Angeles. Not only is Alan the most talented hairstylist in Los Angeles but he's also extremely kind and his karma is topnotch. Don't forget to ask for a Kerastase treatment when you book your appointment! Angela Rushing has been my stylist for about 6 years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Her cuts are contemporary and easy to maintain; I get many compliments on my hair and have referred several friends to her (they love her too!) Her talent really shows in the structure of the cut; I find that I can wait quite a bit longer between cuts than I did with other stylists, and my hair grows very fast. She's also a great colorist who is able to find the right color for your skin tone. Her assistant Alex gives a great shampoo. The menu is great and the food hits the spot - I try to schedule my appointment around breakfast or lunch. Overall, it's a great experience! Outstanding Haircuts and Color 1/5/2007

Angela has been cutting and coloring my hair for about 15 years, and I can recommend her without hesitation. I know I have a great haircut when I can style my hair myself, and it consistently looks good. Angela is a perfectionist with a delightful personality, a winning combination for an expert stylist. Alizabeth is The Best Hairstylist in Los Angeles! 12/15/2006

I have been getting my hair done from Alizabeth Denman for over 5 years now..Honestly I feel that she knows what I like and I really never feel that I have to explain it. Alizabeth simply just ""gets it"". I find that to be such a relief as we all know that getting our hair done is personal and to know that I can always trust her is such a great thing in my life!
