Judy, this is a great church. It sounds from your reveiw that you are very judgemental and racist towards white people. I do not judge others just because they made the correct decisions in life and are hard working. The bottom may have dropped out of your life because of your poor attitude. Think about it. I you're looking for a very conservative, traditional religious experience with other sheltered, middle class, white families you will probably feel comfortable here. But life is not that simple for many of us and I found it to be a very shaming place, not a place where one finds support on a journey toward wholeness, honesty and healing. Not a place where asking authentic questions about life is encouraged or supported. I realize that its easier for some people to have prescribed answers to tough life questions because it makes them feel safe. But when the bottom drops out of one's life, it is important to have a place where one can get real help and support to find workable solutions, not just cliques, preformed answers and pressure to conform to a certain stereotype. more

My mother is a member of this church and we have visited for several things. It is very large but also very grounded and has alot of ways to be connected. Contemporary music and messages and constant programs and outreaches. We especially enjoy their annual childrens carnival alternative to Halloween. Caring and wonderful church! more
