A true wine bar! Exceptional red-wine-by-the-glass selection 9/26/2011

With Cru offering the likes of Napa's '08 Caymus (by glass or an affordable wine flight no less), how does the Wine Loft compete? Best Denver restaurant offerings I've seen are $22-25 retail bottles sold at $12-14 per glass. Cru offers serious quality by the glass. You have only to taste the '08 Paul Hobbs Crossbarn or Caymus (paired in the same flight) to know at least one place in Denver is a true wine bar! (I have yet to try the food). more

Great!!!! 5/29/2010

THE place for Wine and a Good Meal 1/16/2009

Wow, what a great little restaurant / wine bar! This place has terrific atmosphere, super staff, great wines and excellent food. A really chill experience for a night out - highly recommended! Pros: Nice Ambience, Great Wine, Excellent Food Cons: Seats by the front windows have a liitle draft in winter more

Aren't they WONDERFUL ? 12/14/2008

Cru servers care about wine. Talk to the manager - talk to the bartenders and they will guide you. Look at the list - it changes regularly. Pros: Happy Hour and they have areas for private gatherings Cons: Small space more

The BEST for wine sampling and food ! 12/14/2008

Cru is the one place in Denver that does it right. If you want suggestions they will give them. If you want to go out on your own, that's OK too. You can actually sample if you wish. Service at the bar is outstanding. The best in Denver. Check out their happy hour. Pros: Always changing up the wine selection. Cons: Sometimes the service at the tables will not be as good as the bar. more

TOP of the Mark for Wine tasting & Menu 8/18/2008

Great spot for trying wines. Take a look at the list because it changes almost daily. GREAT opportunity to experiment. The manager is committed to customer service and it shows. The bartender has the expertise and loves to share the information if you are interested in learning more. Great spot for light dinner at the bar - alone or with friends. LOVE CRU. Pros: Great wines paired with information - A+ Happy hour Cons: Service not as good at the table as it is at the bar. more

So very lovely 4/18/2007

This place is so unbelievably wonderful. I love it so much. The bartender Matt is always so nice and willing to accomodate your needs. The wine selection is fantastic (I recommend trying the ice wines). It's cozy and elegant....everything a wine bar should be. If I could afford it, I'd be there every weekend Pros: beautiful atmosphere, friendly and knowledgable bartenders, wonderful wines Cons: a little pricey, but worth it. more

A little gem 12/8/2006

Never had a bad time here - just for drinks, a bottle of champagne or wine or a full meal. This is much better than most of the hyped places in Denver. Always busy but they always have time for great service. more

Love the champagne! 9/6/2006

I love this place! It offers great service, excellent drinks and atmosphere! (We were only there between 9 & 10 PM, so not sure if it's good later on as well). more

The new ""It"" place in Denver 9/4/2006

I have been going to Cru now for the last few months.. maybe 2 to 3 times a week to unwind after work. This place is never a let down. Pros: great selection Cons: not open for lunch more

Friendly Wine Saavy Staff 7/14/2006

My girlfriends and I had an excellent experience at Cru as part of a girls' night out. The interior is amazing with an impressive wall stacked with wine. The manager and server went out of their way to accomodate our party and help us pick out our wines. They were very knowledgable and were happy to teach us about our wines as well. There's a great variety of wine flights from which to choose. We didn't try the food but we plan on going back for dinner next time! Pros: Excellent staff Cons: Pricey but expected more
