I visited the Downtown Dental Group for the first time last week. They were considerate and thorough in their care. I would forewarn that they put their religious and political views on the forefront at their practice. From the moment you walk in the door you see Fox News, posters about the 2nd amendment, crosses, Christian praise music on the radio, as well as books that say things like ""Why Jesus Died"". For me, this made me uncomfortable because I am not a Christian. It got in the way of their quality of care, in my opinion, because I felt overwhelmed by how much they were pushing their faith, which is not the same as mine. That being said, everyone was nice and they seemed to do well at their work. more

Dr. Crow is extremely professional, gentle, loving, caring, quick, and pain free. She knows how to do things that do NOT compromise your integrity, privacy. This is a must see Dentist office and her Staff is first Rate! more

I transferred here from another dentist, who screwed up a root canal and left me with a complete nightmare on my hands, and I have had nothing but a positive experience. \r \r The place is bright, clean and he staff are very friendly. Like many other dental surgeries, it is fairly ""open plan"" but I would not say that there is no privacy - I didn't hear anyone else's discussions or treatment, in fact, I was watching CNN as the Dentist happily went about her business.\r \r Overall, this is one of the better dentists I've been to in the Metro area, and they are very friendly, professional and considerate. I would recommend them. more

I agree with other comments- dental assistants ask you about personal chronic medical issues so people in next chair can easily hear.\r \r And you are completely screwed if there is an emergency. No emergency number, no calls back. You have an important meeting at work and are in terrible pain or lost a front cap? Tough luck!!\r \r Yes, she is nice, but I am getting ready to transfer to another dentist. more

I went there for a tooth wash , which is the first time in my life. The dentist is a quiet woman and I feel OK about her at first. When I sat down and she numbed my mouth and I thought it is normal procedure. BUT when I felt she was digging in my mouth, I asked what she was doing because I felt it is not what I expected for a tooth wash. She had never said anything but gave me a sweet smile. So I thought, OK, it might be the right way to do the tooth wash. When I went out to check out and I was shocked. For my insurance, I have two free tooth wash every year, but I was charged more than four hundred dollars. The cashier told me that four teeth of mine were extracted. I was so shocked. The cashier noticed red liquid coming out of my mouth when I told her that I have never been told about the extraction. The dentist was called out in the lobby, and I questioned she did a procedure that I didn't even know and she didnt say anything , but still smile quietly and seemingly sweetly. this is the best dental office i have ever been to. There are 2 dentist in this practice. They practice on different days. Dr. Crow is so gentle. You cant even tell what she is doing, she is so soft and is truely concerned about her patients. The front office is so kind and friendly. This office does have rooms open but walls on the side. I think you have your own personal space and no HIPPA is being violated. I truely recommend this office to anyone. Anyone who has a fear will be so happy and feel at ease by the time they leave this office. BIG thumbs up downtown dental group. This lady uses WAY too much novocaine; I could feel the numbness in my eyes when I was leaving the building. Also, she is very rough when doing fillings. I've never felt so much pain after a filling than when I received one from her. Pros: the people are nice Cons: pain for days after procedure more

This dental practice offers patients no privacy of any kind. Patient exam and cleaning chairs are next to each other. As a result, your personal medical history is discussed in front of other patients, with complete disregard for your personal privacy. This violates HIPPA also. Dentists rotate through the practice, so you rarely see the same dentist twice. I would not recommend Downtown Dental Group to anyone - especially anyone who wants to keep their private medical history private. I will never go back. Avoid these dentists at all cost.
