Cross Timbers Animal Medical Center

I hate to write a negative review about anyone and I like to give the benefit of the doubt. I switched to them because they treated a resuce I adopted. I soon found out that this practice is all about the "upcharge" and ripping people off. Case in point. I had a puppy and they asked that I bring him in 5 times to deworm him each time (despite the 1st time being negative) and only wanted to give him one shot a visit. at the end of the day they would have charged me over $500. other vets were surprised. another of my dogs is on a 3 year rabies schedule, yet they wanted me to bring him in for annual tests and rabiies shots. Third dog came in with breathing problems. they sent me home and tried to sell me expensive allergy medication. It turned out to be a tumor and she died shortly after. I would NEVER recommend this practice - they sucker you in with the "nice" act then grab your wallet. more

OUTSTANDING SERVICE! I have been to many vets and Dr. Harvey was a breath of fresh air. Not only did he take his time to explain EVERYTHING to me, he explained what he would do for HIS pets. Most vets tell you what to do at a very high cost and then make you feel guilty if you don't do it. It was obvious Dr. Harvey cared about my pets, NOT about my money. He sat down on the floor with both my dogs, offered them treats and it was clear Dr. Harvey loves his job. I know there are many vets in the area, but for me, there is only one... Cross Timbers Animal Medical Center! Keep up the great work! more

We've boarded our dog here for almost two years now and know she's getting the utmost TLC each time. When we pick her up, she's freshly bathed and her toys are just as we left them. The staff is kind to both us and our baby - they even walk her out to our car if our kids are in the van! We trust our pets health care, and many of our friends do as well, to the outstanding team at Cross Timbers. Five stars to this AMAZING ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!! more

Over the past 7 yrs. I have been to six different vets here in the Flower Mound area. Some were just satisfactory over all and one I will never go back to again. There are two things that can ruin the possibility of a lifetime customer. One is a bad rapport with the doctor and the other is the staff. I have left many vets offices and family doctors because of rude non-caring staff members. I have to sing VERY high praises for the staff and Dr. Harvey. The "girls" at the counter were ssooo nice on the phone answering all my questions and being very patient with me. And Dr. Harvey was very nice and compassionate with my injured pup. I am happy to say that I have found a lifetime "doc" for all of my babies! more
