with Rosemary who was very informative, caring and answered all our questions. \r

We also met with Pat and we were very upset with some of the comments and stories she relayed.\r
I know that she was trying to be sympathetic, but she didn't come off that way. My daughter is 35 and a very strong person, but Pat brought her to tears when she was telling her examples of different women with this condition. Example: sometimes when teenagers and college aged girls have alopecia they may comtemplate suicide, some women never get their hair back (we knew that) but my daughter said what took her over the edge was when Pat said that ""alopecia is amazing"" We know that she didn't mean to upset us, but she needs to think before she tells negative stories or making a statement like the one she did - NO, alopecia is NOT amazing - it can be devastating!!\r

Just like I finally told people when they wanted to share a cancer story with me, I said to them ""if it is NOT positive or has a happy ending, I don't want to hear it."" It was so upsetting & insensitive when people told me about women dying or not making it that I should have screamed, ""what is wrong with you people telling such negative stories to me!""\r

We would just like Pat to know that it is so common for people to make statements when trying to find the right words to say, but we thought that with all the experiences that your establishment has dealt with over the years, that this was not acceptable.\r

I will continue to recommend your salon as I think that you provide a great service. In fact, I am telling a friend that is battling breast cancer to call and make an appointment.\r
