Yes the Egg is open again,after being booted out by previous motel owner without notice,they are back,major bang for your buck here,huge portions,and great breakfast,country fried steak and biscuit gravy is awesome,so is the Baltimore Benedict(Eggs benedict with crabmeat),a must stop if passing thru Big Pine in the AM more

Open again ! 9/23/2007

After being closed for nearly two years ""The Egg"" is now open again. Generous breakfast and lunch portions are offered at this busy coffee shop style eatery. Very busy for both breakfast and lunch and counter seating tends to be a bit cramped. Very good food quality. The chef salad is huge and loaded with all the goodies, burgers and sandwiches are very good and the daily specials are home style items like country fried steak and meat loaf. Very popular with locals and prices are reasonable. Parking can be a problem during peak hours. Closes at 2:00 after the lunch rush. Pros: Generous portions, good prices, good coffee shop type menu selections Cons: Busy, parking a problem at times. more
