My daughter has gotten probably 4 or 5 decent haircuts at Cozy's over the years. Yes, it is expensive and yes it is annoying to have to parade your child through a toy store where everything is set at child's height on your way back to the chairs, but the haircut was good and my daughter was happy. We took my son there for his first haircut with no complaints, but decided to start using a barber for a while to save money. (Cozy's is EXPENSIVE). Today I decided to get him a decent cut, not just the buzz-cut that the barber offers. I had received an email offer for a free sample of swimmer's shampoo and decided that was good enough reason to go back. (My daughter is swimming every day in camp and I'm in the market for a shampoo that will save her hair). First, they refused to give me a sample saying that the promotion was only for kids getting a wash AND a cut. I was happy to have my son's hair washed but they said he only needed a spray from the water bottle. I sat there looking at tons of samples, all set to be given out for free. The store was EMPTY. We had walked in with no appointment. I was clearly interested in possibly investing in a full-size bottle of their swimmer's shampoo, yet the manager flat-out refused to give me a sample. She ""invited"" me to purchase my own bottle. I had to refuse out of principal. It was ridiculous. She had a zillion free samples sitting there and wouldn't give one to a paying customer who was in the market to buy more product. We got a great haircut from Maria, who treated my son like gold and made him look terrific. Unfortunately, about 15 minutes after leaving I noticed that Maria's clippers had cut the back of my son's neck. He had several scratches and raised, rash-looking, irritated bumps on the back of his neck. i went back into the store to show the manager. I was very nice about it, I just showed them the injury and asked what I should do about it. Maria was lovely. She put powder on his neck and apologized profusely. The manager (same woman who was being so ridiculously cheap about 70 cents worth of shampoo) could not have cared less and offered me nothing, not even an apology. Out of principal, I have to stop bringing them my business. Shame, because they give nice haircuts and my children like going there.
Pros: Good Hairctut
Cons: Being cheap about promotions, not making good on an injury
