Cozymels IS THE BEST --period-- Excellent, traditional food (okay, I've never been to Mexico), nice setting, our waitress was obviously very new (she had food all down her front -LOL), but she could not do enough to please. Excellent food, very good value, drinks were excellent also. I can't imagine anyone not liking it there. I am not sure what was going on with the last review? I did notice it was in 2005? Pros: Food, drinks, value Cons: If you don't like Mexican -what a ya looking here for?? more

Not impressed. 11/3/2005

While the decor looks fun and festive, the food pales in comparison. The rice is dry and the beans are lacking in flavor. They used to have a delicious Sour Cream sauce, but they have discontinued it - I can't believe I was the only one who liked it -it was great! For the prices, they need to step it up a bit in the kitchen. more

Mexican without the script 7/4/2002

Okay, I lived in a highly populated Hispanic area for years and came to realize that one could pass off anything with the same three ingredients as Mexican food: tortillas, cheese, red sauce. Cozymel's combines traditional Mex standards with unique dishes (Yucatan stew) to create a menu that is diverse and experimental. Even the chips and salsa were fresh... and this is somewhat rare. I would recommend the grilled chicken breast with pablano cream sauce as well as any of their seafood. Their Margaritas are good as well. If you want Mexican and don't want to drown in cheese and grease... try Cozymel's. Don't let the 8 rating throw you, I rate strict. Pros: Extensive menu, Outdoor dining avail. more
