The actual apartments are nice enough with high ceilings and a fireplace in most of them. It's the management that stinks. They are new and nearly incompetent at running the place...

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/15/2013

THE MANAGEMENT IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I have never cursed so much in my life than in dealing with the management. The apartments are beautiful but NOT WORTH IT. When I was trying to sell my contract, the nice sweet management team turned into my competition and they are absolutely ruthless and have the upper hand. How do you compete when they can change the prices and the rules whenever they feel like it? I realized too late that I was sending everybody who was interested in my lease to the office, only to be stolen by them. I then had to literally walk to the office to make sure they weren't offered a ""better deal"" once they got there. You would think that their very lives are on the line if they don't make their quota. \r \r I had two people interested at the same time, walked both of them in for an application on a Saturday. They couldn't process them until Monday. On Monday when one of them fell through I was told too bad, I couldn't use the other one because they had already chosen an apartment. When I called back a day later to double check that, I was told that I COULD have switched, that it hadn't been too late, only NOW it was too late because it was past the 48 hour time frame to do so. And oh yeah, ""Can you tell those other people that their application fee is nonrefundable, even though we couldn't process them on Saturday?"" Seriously??\r \r Bobby from the office told me that selling an apartment is like a game. You may be surprised to go in and find out that gosh, there are only one or two available so you better hurry! Or even better, you just missed the last one and now you have to wait a few days. The sign in the office says, ""Remember, the apartment you looked at today may be gone tomorrow!"" This is all a game. This is a huge complex and they always have magical openings. They do a great job of creating an urgency and desire to buy before it's too late. I think that thinking of it as a ""game"" makes them feel better about having to constantly lie all the time. They can't even keep their stories straight. It will drive a person mad. \r \r There are fees for EVERYTHING. When they tell you that water is $20 a month, that is not true. Plan on $45 a month for water--even if you never turn the water on. Huh? The pool key is $10. There's fines for every little nit picky thing they can find. And then when you move out, not only do you not get any money back from your ""holding fee"" but you actually have to PAY to have the carpet cleaned. That's just the start of the move out fees.\r \r I feel horrible for all the people that I ever referred there, thinking it was a great place before I really had to deal with management. After the whole fiasco with handing them over a renter that I worked so hard to get, I said at the VERY LEAST let me have the referral bonus for referring them. Mindy said, ""Oh sure, of course!"" And we signed the little form which would give me $300 after the renter stayed for 45 days in good standing. I asked Bobby, ""Well how will I get my money if I don't live here?"" She said, ""Oh, don't worry about it. We have your new address and will forward that check to it."" So I thought well I guess that will help me forget this horrible 2 month ordeal.\r \r So today I call in for my referral bonus, and surprise! Oh no, I don't qualify. I have to be a current resident. \r \r Thank you, Country Springs, for reminding me WHY I AM GLAD TO BE RID OF YOU.\r more

Poor Managment 7/29/2011

The actual apartments are nice enough with high ceilings and a fireplace in most of them. It's the management that stinks. They are new and nearly incompetent at running the place. I have never found them to be helpful or they are often just rude. We don't plan on renewing our lease this time because they are trying to bump the rent another 50 bucks. Since we are good tenants, that doesn't make any sense to us. They don't negotiate and they really nickel and dime you for every little thing. We can't afford this place anymore. more

Country Springs Managment S**KS!!!!! 3/21/2008

The tenants are great the apts. are ok. The Management SU*KS. The lady is a complete nut case and needs the big stick in her a$$ removed. The rent that they get you to pay the more they get the better there bonuses are. They all receive more for the more they rent. The guy in charge of doing repairs don't care about anyones health and neither does management. They would rather replace a small patch of Sheetrock in stead of killing all the black mold throughout the hole entire apartments.* //countryspringsapts suck.blogspot.c0m more

Nice apartments, sneaky management 7/5/2007

My wife and I lived here for a year, and we were impressed by the size of the apartment when compared to the price. The rooms are large with plenty of windows, the grounds are pretty and well-kept, and the covered parking is a plus (although our car was hit--while parked--on three seperate occasions, owing most likely to the limited space of the parking lot and the insanity of utah valley drivers). My only complaint is with the management, who were friendly in person but rather dishonest in their conduct. My advice is to read your contract carefully, and know what it does and does not say. This seems like "no duh" advice, but apparently many people are unaware of what management can and cannot legally do. On two separate occasions they tried to swindle us by claiming that the contract contained stipulations it did not. When confronted with this fact they claimed it was an honest mistake. Well if we'd been less careful, these "honest mistakes" would have cost us hundreds of dollars. So, either they were lying or else they knew less about the contents of the rental agreement than we did. Either possibility calls their qualification as management into serious question. Anyway, bottom line: these are really nice apartments at a good price. Just make sure you don't get conned by the slippery management. Know your rights and hold your ground, and I'm sure you'll love living at Country Springs. Pros: Good value, nice-looking grounds, proximity to health food store Cons: Lying management more

Great apartments, worth the price-ignore other boguss reviews-see for yourself. 6/22/2007

Regarding these other reviews, I STRONGLY disagree. Lets be realistic. Do you really think that these things have happened. Come on! Lets use this site for the spirit in which it is intended and rate the community. This site is not for opinions that make it a personal attack. \r \r I love it here and recommend it very highly. Maybe the people in Utah County have unrealistic expectations but I find Country Springs to be one of the best apartments that I have lived at. Reading such harsh reviews makes me wonder what kind of renters these people where/are. I bet if you were to see thier history they are the habitually late payers and recipiants of complaints made by other tenants. I wonder what the management would have to say about them. Hmmmm.\r \r You should just check it out for yourself. Its probably a good thing these people don't live here anymore. Pros: Parking, size, location, management company, apartment features, too many to list....... Cons: I wish they were available as condos for purchase. more

Most rude, lying management I have seen for such nice apartments. 5/30/2007

A friend had just moved in to an exact apartment the week before for about $75.00 less. We tried to get the rate and they were upset that we knew they had paid less. They then called them and threatened to up the rent to the maximum and fine them $200.00. Later one of the ladies in the office, casually said that if we knew what the rest of the people paid per month we would be mad because it was a good bit less. Several times, they would tell us one thing then later say that they didn't tell us what they had told us before. When we moved in the carpet was stained in several places and still dirty, yet when we moved out they charged us again. In addition, they charged us again for cleaning, after we had cleaned well when everything was out of the apartment. The apartments are nice, we left it better than we got it. They also charged for damages that were overlooked when we moved into the apartment. Having family that manages apartments, etc., The on site manager is the worst, most rude, and lying woman that I have come in contact with in a long time. Congratulations. Pros: Nice apartments Cons: The most rude, lying, woman for management I have ever seen. Pricing underhanded. more

Rude as Hell 12/21/2005

The grounds are fine; the neighbors were too, the apartment was decent, the parking was adequate. But the management was an awful experience!!! Never before have I an engineer, who makes good money, pays his rent, has no loud parties been so harassed by management of any complex before. They were never happy and find every opportunity to threaten to evict, invade your privacy, and leave personal information on youre door. You can take my word for it or learn the hard way, but going home after a long day at work to fight with the management about any trivial matter makes me sick to my stomach! Pros: close to mall, close to stores, pool Cons: rude management, high fees, unplesant experience more
