The service, the ambiance, the food. This place is rock solid in all aspects! 2/8/2009

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the vibe of this place. To start the shrimp appetizer (can't remember the name), pan-seared Tilapia and the Palak Chaat were all fabulous- but honestly everyone in our group could have eaten their own serving of the Palak Chaat it was so outstanding. For entrees my favorites were the grilled Salmon, the Lamb Roganosh, the Tandoori Chicken and I loved my califlour dish too. more

Refreshing 12/9/2008

As a general rule, when you compare Indian restaurants to home-cooked Indian meals, they almost always fall short. This restaurant is the exception. Still not as good as home-made, but very close. The mango lassi is very refreshing. The Dahi Ka Shorba is the best soup on the menu. They make very good poori. My only disappointment is that I did not see my favorite dish, Pav Bhaji on the menu. I have eaten at all the local Indian restaurants in the area, and this one is the best...not the cheapest, but the best. The candy-coated fennel seeds at the front are a nice touch. Pros: Food, service, atmosphere Cons: Favorite dish not on menu more

Mediocre Indian Food 10/25/2008

We are not big eaters so food quantity was OK. We tried their buffet to get a taste of everything. I felt they served left-over food from the party-catering in their weekend buffets. I would rate the overall quality of Food as B-. Most of the curries were with a lot of cream indicating food made long in advance. Very bland to cater to American taste. Food was also a little bit too oily. Chef must be holding back his/her culinary expertise. Pros: Great location, polite waiters Cons: Not so great food. more

Excellent food, excellent service: 4/11/2008

Coriander has a very tastefully done contemporary interior and the kitchen delivered 1st-rate, powerfully-flavored Indian food. I had a fanastic and spicy minced chicken kabab, and my friend ordered the crab cake appetizer, which was more delicately spiced with a hint of coconut. The lamb roganjosh was excellent...very flavorful and the meat was so tender. The vegetable Biryani was the best I have had in the US. Pros: Good food + good service = Great Value Cons: Long Wait on weekends more

Coriander Indian restaurant, Voorhees, NJ 3/9/2008

Yes, it is different all right. First, make sure you eat at home or somewhere before you come to Coriander for dinner because portions are so small even though you will probably pay 12.95 or more. Second, it is Indian food with American spices. I wonder can you still call that Indian food. It reminded me of Indian food they use to serve in my dormitory in Seattle. I just go next door to ""Elena Wu"" chinese bistro, Great Food. Pros: Waiters will explain in great detail about eating Indian food.. Cons: Bad taste-less food anything-but-Indian, Dark and dingy. High priced. more

Wonderful lunch buffet 8/23/2007

I found this place by accident on business and stopped for lunch. I was delighted by the food - the buffet was set up so nicely, not in those typical stainless steel containers - but in beautiful pots! There was a nice variety of dishes. The mango Lassi was the perfect blend of tart and sweet. more

Excellent Food! 4/15/2007

We were looking for something new and different ... hard to come by in south jersey. But after trying Coriander, I think we have a new favorite place! We were immediately seated, and after ordering, it didn't take long for our food to arrive. And it was amazing! The tandoori chicken was tender and flavorful. My husband had the lamb vindaloo which was awesome, and it had a spicy kick. So tasty. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little different. And try the garlic naan (if you don't mind bad breath) Pros: BYOB Cons: Somewhat pricey, but worth it. more
