It is rare these days to find a Company that really cares about their customers and takes pride in their work. I am grateful to have found such a Company in Cool Air Solutions. \r
As a background, I took my time and met with the five local companies who were listed as certified installers on SCE's website as I wanted to take advantage of SCE rebates when upgrading my HVAC equipment. I also researched all five of the companies online. Even before I met Justin from Cool Air Solutions, they stood out as I had read a number of positive reviews of the Company online. \r
Justin showed up and I could tell right away he was a genuinely nice man. I was very impressed that he crawled under my deck and went under the house to inspect my duct work. Let's face it, no one wants to do the dirty work anymore and only two of the five companies I had come out even bothered to climb under my house to properly inspect my duct work. \r
Making my home more energy efficient had become a big hobby for me and I had a million and one questions about different HVAC technology. Justin really seemed to care and was incredibly patient and helpful. When all of the bids came in a couple of the companies tried to gouge me, which seems to go with the territory, but I was delighted that Cool Air Solution’s bid was very reasonable. Justin did load calculations on my home and shared with me that the two older 5 ton units that I was planning to replace could be replaced by smaller 3 ton units. In fact, my duct work couldn't even handle 5 tons so I'd had been essentially been paying for 5 tons and only getting about 3 tons as it was! \r
I ultimately decided on two Lennox XP21 Heat Pumps with dual fuel option which in my case would use Propane as a backup with matching 98% AFUE rated furnaces. We don’t get very many really cold days in Temecula but I was going with smaller systems to save energy and the dual fuel is a nice safety net for the coldest days should the heat pumps need a little help. I also went with the iComfort wireless thermostats which I’m quite thrilled with. Justin took a lot of time to help me optimize all of the settings to be as energy efficient as possible. I guess normally customers don’t get as technically involved in the process but Justin was gracious and accommodated me at every turn.\r
Mike, TJ, Jose, and the rest of the installation team were equally amazing. I had my own Title 24 inspector come out and the installation team bent over backwards to find and resolve all of the leaks in my old duct work. Turns out my prior HVAC company didn’t do the best work. Even after the system passed and the inspector left, the team continued to search for gaps around the registers that should have been sealed and spent a lot of time to make the system even more efficient! I’m guessing others would have left well enough alone but it was clear to me that this installation team really took pride in their work and it’s something you just don’t see a lot of these days.\r
It was getting dark on the last day and Mike said he would come back because we still were trying to figure out why we weren’t getting as much air out of a few registers as we should. He and TJ returned a day later and crawled under the house to the very back part where it gets extremely cramped and discovered a few things my old HVAC company had done wrong with the duct work in that back corner. They fixed all of the issues and we got flow out of registers that had never really worked properly before. I was thrilled as a couple of those registers were in our master bedroom and our room had always been the hardest to heat or cool. \r
In closing, I really can’t say enough good things about Cool Air Solutions. A special thank you to Justin, Mike, TJ, Jose and the entire team. I’m signing my name below and including my phone number in case anyone would care to contact me about my experience working with Cool Air Solutions. \r
