Consolidated Communications

Simply Garbage! Poor customer service, many service charges, they swear that their signal is not pulled from a satellite however whenever there is a strong storm in the area the signal breaks up in to crappy digital blocks, signal only comes in 480 so if you have an HD tv it’s a waste, you might as well pull out that spare tv you’ve kept from college in the garage and use it. Free digital broadcast gets a better picture. Unfortunately there is no competitor besides DISH. If my company did not pay for this service as a part of my home office expense i would not use it. If you can find any other means, DO IT. more

Unfortunately in our area there is only one phone company that we can use and thats Consolidated Communications. They charge you an arm and a leg for anything that they can. Our phone service doesn't even work that great. Most of the time our caller ID doesn't work, the phone has had so much static that you can't even hear the person on the other end of the phone and since we moved, we have to have our phone all the way up on the max volume cause the connection is so bad. My wife had to call one day 3 times to the DSL tech support cause the first 2 guys couldn't help her and didn't realize that our modem needed to be upgraded. I really like having DSL but it doesn't do us a lot of good if we can't get a connection have the time. Hopefully with the upgrade it will work better. more

We have had great service from this telephone company. I lived in Lufkin for 10yrs and I cannot count how many times the name has changed. Which is ok, but a HUGE pain for internet addresses. I don't know what's going on, but someone keep it...lol Anyway, they are a good company, whatever their name is. more
