Best

I admit that we was scared to go there, BUT IS THE ONLY PLACE INT TOWN MAKE PAELLAS. the place is really beatifull, the dinner area is separade of the bar are, so we have a quiet...

Worst

The 3 dishes we shared were very tasty: Creole fish, chicken in curry, fish in coconut curry. They were not spicy enough for us, but we like Mexican and Thai food.

Not Carribean Food 9/2/2002

As a dominican I find this place to be pretty lame in comparison to your local corner store (bodega) in New York City. The food is cheaper and is more authentic and tastier than the food at Conga. For a night club, not bad, but just make sure not to wear your good shoes. Pros: decor, music, drinks Cons: food, service, management more

Cool place to go...for Salsa.. 8/9/2002

I love this place. I love it cause it's unique...small...and busy. This place is hopping on Thursdays and Saturdays. They play a fun mix of Salsa music. However, the dance floor is small so it gets too packed for salsa..but it's just a fun place to check out nice looking young people. Seriously, this is a nice intimate place to be...and to see. Pros: Size, music, People Cons: too small more

Fun for a group of women! 7/26/2002

I love Conga because the crowd is friendly and not obnoxious -- the men are great dancers, always asking to dance, but it's not a meat market or a grope-fest like some other places. Plus, latin dances are so fun and easy to catch onto, even if you've never taken lessons. They also have some non-Latin dance music, so whichever you are in the mood for, you can choose. The decor is stylish and attractive, too. I've never eaten dinner there, so I couldn't really comment on that (except that from friends and reviews I've heard the food is not so great). Once, we stopped by to check the place out and the bouncer/manager? was kind of rude b/c we weren't dressed appropriately. It was a little odd, b/c at first he didn't mention the dress code until we said we only wanted a drink and not dinner. Pros: Decor, Music, Crowd Cons: Basement decor, Crowded, b/c popular, Not cheap more

Congas Latin Bistro-Spicy 7/26/2002

Is the best place to go if you want to have the night of you life. You can start with a great appetizer, like croquetas continue with an entree, or you can just go and enjoy their wonderful margaritas while shaking you body at the dance floor. Pros: great ambient, good music, unique Cons: expensive more
