Conant Jas B High School

Conant is a good school with highly educated teachers. They are one of the top high school in Illinois. They are always striving to make their education better and are trying to instill the proper knowledge in all their students. They are currently planning to do some remodeling in their school to make it bigger and better. more

I went to this high school and had a very positive experience here. Yes, the school is smaller than most other high schools. But that doesn't hold it back from being one of the best in Chicago. The teachers were all excellent here. They were all dedicated to doing a good job and teaching well. There were lots of after school activities here as well, so students always had fun and safe things to do after school I thought all my peers at this school were a positive influence. I would recommend this school to anybody considering it -- it is a wonderful expereince. more

this high school is way to small. it only has two storys. those are two small storys. the school is way to over crowded. the teachers are good, but some of them have no clue what is going on. also poor scheduling and locker placement. this high school really sucks never go here. more

I am a proud alum of James B. Conant High School. I consider it the crown jewel of District 211, and have no doubts that it ranks as one of the best public high schools in the state of Illinois. The teachers were dedicated, knowledgeable, and always willing to help out. Honestly, I can't remember having one teacher who half-assed it. They were caring individuals who took a strong interest in their student's academic career as well as their students as individuals. We've had excellent sports teams with several successful runs in postseason play. Participation in our sports was always a priority and encouraged by the staff. There was a wide variety of academic courses to choose from. Each was taught by a competent educator. Wide choices of AP classes that many students took advantage of to gain college credit. Overall, I think my time at Conant High School was very positive and it helped shape my career. more
