Have a 15 Macbook pro 2011 with slight liquid damage to the keyboard but the computer still turned on. They quickly ran a diagnostic right at the front desk and quoted me a price less than Apple for a new keyboard. I dropped it off Monday and got back on Wednesday. Overall a very efficient process and it was a nice touch to have the laptop cleaned before I got it back. more

Recently I sought the help of Computer Overhauls for the second time. On the first occasion I selected them partly based on location. This time because of prior experience. The staff are very professional and responsive to my problem. I especially appreciated their willingness to help me understand what they found and how they solved the problem. I needed a laptop for school. Heard about CO from a friend, who heard about it from a friend.. everyone says great things so I figured 'hey, if it's working for them, I'll give it a shot' (& I'm big about word of mouth) So anyway, went in, and got help immediately. The sales guys were very friendly, and the owner himself came over and helped me out with choosing the right one to fit my needs. Adam (the owner) was very friendly, and he made choosing the right one very easy! He asked what I was looking for specifically - space, speed, music etc.. and hooked me up with a great laptop at a kick-ass price.. and it's been great every since! & I've since referred 4 other friends to him with their computer issues/needs.. and everyone is completely satisfied. Def glad I went there, they didn't overcharge me and I got exactly what I wanted. Would reccommend Computer Overhauls to anyone!! =) more

It was with great dismay that I realized my time machine/external hard drive was not working. Actually great dismay is putting it mildly as every time I have a computer breakdown I actually come close to a meltdown too. But I have learned over time that the best thing to do in any situation involving computers is to call Computer Overhauls. I like speaking with Yuri as he knows what a computer idiot I am and doesn't seem to hold it against me but really any of these guys are great. When I first called, the tech at Computer Overhauls attempted to fix my computer remotely as I sat there biting my nails. And at first that looked like it might work. Alas, my external hard drive was kaput so I had to take it over to Computer Overhauls and replace it. I could have just bought the hard drive and then took it home to install it on the computer but the likelihood of messing up such a procedure was high. So I humped the entire computer over to Computer Overhauls. Not only did they sort out the drive but they fixed up the time machine and gave me a mini tutorial that I could actually understand. Further, due to my complete insecurity about making the time machine work, they actually kept my computer until the time machine had done its business with the external drive. Oh joy! Quick, easy and working. What more could you ask for? Oh, I know, reasonably priced service. Well, I certainly got that in spades. The diagnostics on the phone and in person were free. Yes, free. And the repair - new drive - was zip too. This is because the drive was relatively new but still, they charged me nothing to install it and back up the time machine. Where else int he world can you get such service? Highly, highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend! more

I bought a pre-owned iPhone from these guys off eBay. The listing was pretty nice with lots of great photos so you can see exactly what you are getting. Plus they ship FAST!!!! I bought the phone on Wednesday morning and it was delivered to me on Thursday. Granted I live in NJ and they are in NY but still better than most other sellers on eBay. more

Computer Overhauls is a huge necessity to all of us laptop owners who have struggled to find decent repair solutions here in New York City. They helped me to solve my problem and they recommended alternate software, (to the software that was causing me trouble before) that works on top of cleaning up an old and troublesome mess. The Technician cleaned my fan, (gummed up with dust, which I hadn't expected) and cleaned the machine on top of everything else. When I got there to pick up the laptop I got to speak to the man who fixed it and I asked him other questions related to the original issue and he answered them all patiently and without any attitude at all. I couldn't help but overhear some of the conversations when I first came in and I was surprised at how patient and diligent the Computer Overhaul staff were with everyone. I believed in them from that alone, but their actual work and solving of my problem was beyond my expectations. more
