Compean Funeral Home

Once they have your money, their whole attitude changes....they kick you out of the kitchen @ 8p., even though paperwork says you are allowed to use it until 8:45.....no bathrooms after they have been cleaned, early or not.....and the older lady at the reception desk could really use a course in funeral etiquette and compassion. Worst experience of my life. And I tried to rate this place @ 0....no stars, but was forced to give at least 1 star so that review would go through. more

The facility looks great and it looks like it has been just remodel. However, once you are in there you will feel the unkidness of the workers in there. There are very rude and heartless. As the other reviews said, once they get your money they care less about the people in the funeral. And if you didn't pay for something they will make sure others know. Also, their hours are from 9 to 9 but they will start kicking you out 15 minutes before 9 and will not let you use the kitchen or the bathroom after they clean them at 8:30 pm. After 8:45 pm, they will tell you to use the back door to exit the funeral home because they had already closed the front entrance. One last thing, you might want to tell the drivers to stay outside the church, since one of the them was very rude and sleepy. He was either sleeping or texting on the phone during the religious ceremony. Dead is already painful, Compean family, why making it more stressful!!! more

Good: The facility looks really good.. Bad: The people in there don't care about your grief or pain. They are rude and have no tact to talk to people on pain.. Improvements: Hire some people with people skills. Somebody who can at least pretend they care for other's pain.. Other: Please Compean family, you are there to help others deal with their grief, don't be such jerks!. more

Once these people have your money, they suddenly turn in to real jerks. Recently attended a friends funeral and I was appalled by how impatient and hostile they were with grieving family and friends. I suddenly felt very afraid for my passed friend's remains. I had no confidence that he would be treated with respect once we had all left, as none of the living were treated with any respect. Truly terrible experience. more
