My husband was in community hospital for his last surgery. It was same day surgery and he was expected to be home by 6 p.m.
He was in his room by then. They gave him a light meal and a drink, and said that he needed to urinate before he could be discharged. He did that at 7.30 p.m., and can you believe it took the staff until 1.00 a.m. to discharge him.
By then he had been 3 times and nobody had written it down. Then a change of shifts.
I was really upset with the lack of professionalism.
