CHASS Center was established nearly 40 years ago in response to the closing of several community hospitals in Southwest Detroit, and the subsequent flight of medical professionals to suburban practices. In 1970, Hispanic leaders negotiated the first-ever joint venture with local and state public health officials and CHASS began providing limited medical services from a renovated house on West Vernor This place has been helping thousands since 1970, three generations of Detroiters. I can to them after being out of work with many health problems. I feel the love provided by all from the front counter and Mary the best damn health provider I've ever had. Mark the pharmaceutic man is the best with over 30 years providing advice and meds for those in need. Elana the payment office manager is so helpful when checking out. The great team put together here provides a super needed service to all those in need and has been rewarded for there dedication with a brand new building to be open soon just next. Chass Clinic Grand Opening, Great time had by all ,,, WOW Mayor Bing, Congressman Hansen Clarke and many other CEO s attended the ribbon cutting.
