Commander's Palace Restaurant 11/18/2006

Commander's Palace Restaurant is a great place to eat. It's located in New Orleans at 1403 Washington Avenue, at the corner of Coliseum Street in the Garden District. It's a truly elegant place. http://www.commanderspalace.com/new_orleans/index.php www.commanderspalace.com/new_orleans/index.php is their website, so you should go there for more information. I have been here twice. Both times I ordered the Black Skillet Seared Muscovy Duck Breast. It is awesome. I love it so much. The wait staff is wonderful. They are also willing to answer your questions about New Orleans you wish. They are really nice. This place is put up by Brennan's, the famous people who have a restaurant by the same name. You will certainly be "dined" if you go here. more

A great place for celebrations 10/9/2005

For a middle class individual such as myself, going to fine dining restuarants isn't an every day thing. So when myself and my fiance decide to go out for a nice dinner, we are taking a chance of spending alot of money on something that may not be up to it's high price standards. Commander's Palace not only live up to its standards, it exceeded our expectations. First of all let's start off with the service. It is top notch. Everyone involved in providing service to you is very friendly and always ready to be of service. You will never have an empty glass and the waiter will be more than happy to give full detailed explanations of any dish you desire. The food is excellent. I had a shrimp creole type of dish that was rich in flavor and most importantly, rich in shrimp. My fiance had a steak that was cooked to absolute perfection. Ordered medium rare and it came out as such. The steak came with a loaded mash potatoes that was creamy and full of flavor. Commander's Palace may be a costly fine dining experience, but for the night it didn't matter. It was money well spent as the service and food exceeded our expectations. more

Commander's Palace is a famous restaurant in New Orleans where many famous chefs have gotten their starts, most notably Emeril Lagasse. The food was fantastic. I did not get the chef tasting menu but it was not that expensive. The gumbo was fantastic. The seafood was extremely fresh. The service was impeccable. In addition, the overall bill was rather inexpensive. This is a place where you can eat well for a reasonable price. more
