Comet Camera & Video Repair

i was shooting a job in philadelphia at a very exclusive site. i had to obtain special permission to photograph at this historic site. i was only allowed in the building for a brief period of time. i was half way through the job when my lend broke. it simply stopped working. i ran to comet. the repairman stopped the job he had on his bench and looked at my lens he removed the glass repaired the shutter and reassembled the lens in the course of half an hour. he did not charge me.!! i finished the job with time to spare. comet is great more

Comet Camera was outsourced by Cutler Camera to fix my Sony 707. The initial estimate was $155.82. I agreed to the repair and it was to be completed in 6 weeks. The estimate then jumped to $252.28. I asked for an explaination and Cutler said they would get back to me. Over three months later I got a call from Comet Camera stating that they had my camera and it would be $353.58 to get it returned. I argued and demanded an explanation. They told me to call Cutler. I called Cutler and they said they are going out of business so I can do whatever I want it doesnt matter, but if I want my camera back it would be $263 plus shipping. I have to pay shipping because the Harrisburg location that I dropped it off at went out of business. I was supposed to pick it up there and of course not pay shipping charges. Or ""I could drive to New Jersey if I didnt want to pay the shipping"". ""We are doing you a favor."" is what they told me. They still have my camera and refuse to give it back unless I pay the extorted amount. more
