A wonderful delight! 7/22/2011

To the person who was writing about a gun? I'm not sure if you know BUT you DO have the right to bare arms in the USA with a permit. Just for your information, it is illegal to hide or conceal a weapon in Ga. I have known the owner for many years and He has always been very welcoming to any race in fact some of his best returning customers are African American, so your comment about his character is offensive to me and anyone else that knows him. Your other comment about the "racist South" was also offensive ..Have you ever been up North?! Racism is everywhere .... You yourself are obviously ignorant on so many accounts and it sad that you try to deface someones good character. The owner has wonderful things to purchase and at very reasonable prices. His other reviews are wonderful just take a look! more

Disgusted Browser 1/4/2011

Owner openly wore a gun. Weird feeling--you must ring to enter, and then the guy is packing heat. I was disgusted. If the guy is tired of getting robbed, he should hire someone else to work in the shop or find a way of appearing without a gun--felt I was really in the racist South when I went in here. I am white, and a black couple had come to the door as I left. They looked perfectly harmless, but I wouldn't have bothered going in if I were them. If you don't like seeing guns, avoid this store. It's coins and small items only--no furniture. more

Very pleasant place to visit and great prices.... 3/10/2010

This place was recommended to me by a friend so on my day off I went there to see all of the stuff.....Boy what a pleasant surprise.....This place has everything imaginable under the sun.....Mr. Cobb was very nice, helpful and super knowledgeable....I could spend days there looking at all the collectibles.....The best part was his very reasonable prices.....Definitely worth going to see.... Pros: Prices, selection, knowledgable and did I mention prices... Cons: Not enough time to see everything.... more

Overall Best Collectible Gallery in Georgia 1/27/2010

A previous review was written about my Gallery that was totally false and I believe the individual was in another shop that had rude employees and confused my business with theirs as I have no employees that were described in the review and have single handled run my Gallery alone for 29 years! I want to straighten out the record and let all parties know that we have been active selling Antiques and Collectibles in Savannah for 29 Years and have but one complaint in all that time which we addressed ASAP. We are members of the Savannah Chamber of Commerce and our records can be examined at the BBB. Just wanted to let you know I welcome everyone at the door to my shop and always have. Respectfully, Al Cobb Pros: 200.000 collectibles Cons: Too much to see more

REVISED WROTE REVIEW FOR WRONG STORE BUT CAN'T DELETE IT 12/1/2009

A Little Spooky 10/30/2008

Granted I am writing this the day before Halloween, but today I felt a little spooked when I went up on the porch of this house of antiques, and there were all kinds of handwritten signs on the door including "Ring the bell and then enter." I didn't, nor did I see any parked cars around. In past visits here, the trip from one packed with antiques room to another went along smoothly enough, but there was an underlying feeling of weirdness. I can't explain it. I'm sure there are some wonderful items here, but it just is not a "feel good" kind of place to spend much time in. I much prefer perusing the Gallery 37th at Abercorn which is right across the street. As I said, though, it is the day before Halloween. more
