Founded in 1930, Cleveland Botanical Garden, formerly known as the Garden Center of Greater Cleveland, is one of the leading urban horticulture and botanical education nonprofit institution in the United States. It offers various urban outreach educational classes, school programs that support national academic standards and sustainable economic development. With more than 6,000 members, the garden hosts outdoor flower shows biannually. Cleveland Botanical Garden offers several indoor and outdoor gardening classes in partnership with The Ohio State University, Ohio State University Extension, local specialty plant societies, and professional landscape designers and floral artists.
