Clear

I have had Clear for several months now. Worked great in winter with no leaves on trees. Now in spring download speed has slowed to a crawl. Technical support has kept me on the phone for many hours and now wants to send a technician to my house just to tell me the leaves on the trees are icausing the problem. I want to be released from my contract or I plan to call the FCC and BBB to file a complaint. more

Clear seems noticeably faster than our Earthlink DSL, and the connection has been completely reliable so far. Earthlink's connection had been failing to recognize our computers every time, finally the connection went away entirely, and then the company wanted us to pay for shipping and to commit to one year more of service to replace a faulty modem. I had been their customer for more than 14 years. I'm very pleased with Clear so far, and we get way more phone features than we did with AT&T, and for $14 less a month. more

A new internet service provider is making quite a splash here in San Antonio. Its green and white signs are everywhere -- they even have green and whtie ""Clear"" flags attached to cars driving around town. more

Clear internet service is awesome for mobile internet if you like to take your laptop around town and get internet anywhere. For home it is pretty good, but not as fast as cable or fiber. It is probably 5-10x faster than mobile internet through Verizon, Qwest, or Sprint though. more

Clear Internet sux major a$$ it's not worth it. The internet connection is off more than not. I hate it you can be right in the middle of something online and it just shuts off. I am a big COD: Modern Warfare 2 player and everytime I'm winning it just shuts off. Again it's not connected more often than it is connected. Do not waste your time or money I'm heading back to Time Warner ASAP. more

CLEAR has turned out to be the most satisfying internet provider I have had to deal with. Start-up was a breeze, and the connection is never less than perfect, no matter where I am operating from. more

I ordered clear thru a local rep. what a rip-off...i bought the modem and the voip, niether worked i live in logan square in chicago. they said im smacked in the middle of 3 towers...literally 4 blocks east, west and north of me and i cant get more than one bar. the modem was always rebooting itself had the reps who sold me the service and they could not get anymore but one maybe 2 bars. i ordered it on the 17th of feb it is the 8th of march, and the rep took my modem and voip box and nothing has been return or credited to my account. their customer service is the worst than att. so please think twice maybe 3 times...this service suks....at this point i am going to see what legal actions i can take up with them and the local rep. more

My Clear service has been all over the map in terms of speed, but mostly it is fairly fast. The last time I ran a test, a few weeks ago when I did a second blog post on Clear, my numbers were like this: 23.06 Download .30 Upload 85 Ping and using the USB Modem: 2.63 Download .42 Upload 61 Ping more
