I was there on a Friday night with a couple friends and the place was packed. We were able to get reservations only an hour or so before arriving. Our reservation wasn't available...

Worst

To be completely honest, it was not the food that turned me off of this place, but the rude hostesses and servers. I have been here many times before and tried to give it a second...

One of my favorites on Main 6/5/2010

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the Venice area. It can get loud and packed on weekend nights so be prepared for that. I've never been for happy hour but I have eaten in the dining area a dozen times now. Staff is friendly, knows the menus, works together (I like that), and they've made honest suggestions when I've asked. Went recently with a few girlfriends and we wanted to split a couple of entrees. Staff was great in making sure we all had plates, spoons and such. I love when places cater to you rather than say we can't do such and such. You can park in the area but I've not had much luck getting parking on the street. There is underground parking so be sure to bring your ticket in for at least partial payment. I'll keep going as long as we can get a table. Pros: Great food, fun and upbeat atmosphere Cons: Not many parking options more

Great Happy Hour Deals 1/12/2010

Every ngiht they run specials, $5 for a whole host of drinks and sushi rolls, spicy tuna tartare, soup. Great ambiance and easy to get a table, sit at bar, or at sushi bar. Service was a little slow from server, but most of the food came from the sushi chefs in front of us- which was quick! Pros: Price, Food Cons: Service a little slow more

Best Ceviche 3/22/2009

So I only went to this restaurant once, but I am crazy about ceviche and get it everywhere that i can and their salmon ceviche was AWESOME. It was citrusy and spicy and tangy - i could eat it for days. I got the filet mignon too taht was pretty good - I've had better (wasn't the fondest of the black truffle sauce), but it was still enjoyable. We got paella too and it was quite tasty. Disagreeable service, though they used to be good. 12/17/2008

This used to a great dry cleaners- what happened?? Either it's under new management or the original people went sour on the whole business - but the customer svc is ghastly now- an unbelievably rude message was left on my voicemail regarding clothing pickup ""Come get your clothes or we'll donate them this week to Salvation Army"" - this was the first notification they'd given. The guy hung up in such a huff he neglected to leave his name or a return number, calling back to sheepishly add them a few minutes later. It's a shame, because they're the only organic cleaners around, but I sure won't be returning. more

Please be careful before dropping off your belongings. 12/13/2008

When I picked it up 10 days later, the silk had faded and the fibers looked to be worn - literally it had aged 10 years in 10 days. When I inquired as to what my options were they said they would look into it. \r \r They have done nothing. They have not offered to repay my cleaning fee nor has the manager called me to discuss live.\r \r I went out of my way to take my comforter to an organic cleaner. I will not make this mistake again.\r \r Fortunately, I did not bring in my duvet cover so I still have some bedding but, you can be sure I will be washing that myself and airdrying.\r \r Thanks for the horrible service Cleaner by Nature. more

the only wet cleaners you should go to on the westside 11/17/2008

In contrast to the last comments.. i have been very thrilled for 8 years and running. Sure there is the occational error...ie brought in some winter wardrobe that smelled of mildew and had to bring it in a second time b/c the problem wasnt solved or a stain that was missed. But overall you cant go better. They remember that if you choose NO BAGS for a cleaning..they actually remember. They were the first to bring this process to the market and it shows. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is b/c I hate going in general. more

Pathetic, overpriced 11/7/2008

If food matters to you, skip this place. It's incredible that they can get away with these prices for such mediocrity. It's too salty, too sweet, too heavy.. bad food from the 80's with 21st Century prices. Go to the Nook or Jiraffe -- this place is a big loser. Great Sushi, Great Atmosphere 2/28/2008

I was there on a Friday night with a couple friends and the place was packed. We were able to get reservations only an hour or so before arriving. Our reservation wasn't available right when we got there, so we had to spend 5 minutes or so in the lounge. Not a big deal, but a little annoying. The service was great and the sushi was amazing. What I liked most about the place was the lively atmosphere. It was quiet enough to have a comfortable conversation with people at your table, but at the same time, you felt like it was the place to be. I would definitely go back again! trendy and fun 2/17/2008

This place is very trendy more so in santa monica than venice I would say. Our waiter was very attentive, but his suggestions were not that great, but when we told him that we weren't happy with one of his choices for an appetizer he took it off of our bill which is something that wouldn't happen in every restaurant especially in the LA area. Great sushi bar which hopefully I can take advantage of later, but easily could make a meal with drinks and appetizers from this place. Trendy looking inside and VERY busy with lots of people watching, and the waiter never rushed us from our table. We could have stayed all night, so service is a priority here. more

losing it's luster 2/16/2008

Serious time for a menu revamp! Sushi quality has gone south and the service - snot and a half. Flippant server, Safeway brand filet and hostess with no appreciation for customer service whatsoever. My mashers tasted as if they came from from a bag, unagi naggy spoils and did you ever hear of another Stella? I was bummed. What used to be such a rockin' joint just petered out! I never talk to a manger as I am one myself but this was BAD! Sacreligious even.Go to Chinois or Josie. Trust me, you could find much better in this town 11/9/2007

To be completely honest, it was not the food that turned me off of this place, but the rude hostesses and servers. I have been here many times before and tried to give it a second chance more than once now and I don't think I will be back. Basically, they act like they don't need your service so do them a favor and go somewhere else. Maybe get take-out since the rolls are good. HORRIBLE -- DESTROYS CLOTHING 10/11/2007

I went here for the first time a week ago, and will NEVER go back. They burned a hole in a $200 blouse, and when I asked (very nicely) what they could do about it, they told me that they could not possibly have burned the blouse. Instead, they offered for ME to spend $30 doing a ""fiber composition"" test to see if it was something wrong with the fabric. Apparently they chain is under new management (according to the woman I spoke with), and this is not an uncommon problem. I'd advise very much against going here.
