I migrated from AT&T cellular service to Cingular Wireless back in December 2004. Since that migration, I have had nothing but headaches from Cingular Wireless. At first, I was having my any time minutes taken away from me by calling other Cingular Wireless customers, when those types of calls were supposed to be free and unlimited. Next, I was losing my any time minutes for calling and checking my voice mail when that also was told to me was free and part of the plan that I paid for each month. It also seems like every single time I call their 1-800 number for customer service, no 2 people are able to give me the exact same answer to the exact same questions. In July of 2005, I purchased a new Motorola cellphone over the phone by calling their 1-800 number and gave my credit card number for billing. For some reason, it wasn’t processed that way and my phone was going to be billed to my cellular bill. An unexpected, out of pocket (cash) charge that I was not anticipating seeing as how I had given them my credit card information over the phone to pay for that phone. And lastly, I feel like through all of these issues, I have wasted a great amount of time in dealing with a company that I should not have had to deal with in the first place. So if you’re looking for an excellent cellular company to obtain service through, rethink going with Cingular Wireless.
