Hello, I would like to introduce myself as Jose Torres the General Manager of the Lufkin Mall 9 (formerly Cinema 4). I would like to describe this theater to you just in case you are traveling and want to watch a movie in Lufkin, Texas. This theater is now called the Lufkin Mall 9 as we opened our doors to 5 additional auditoriums IN 2005 featuring all stadium seating, all DLP digital picture and all digital surround sound. Yes our customer service has improved and am happy to say we are doing quite well even with our competition across the highway. We have some of the best Handicapp seating and acessibility for theatres in Lufkin. Instead of having a wheelchair section right in front of the screen, we have a section in the middle of the auditorium where even patrons with diabilities can enjoy the movie experience without straining their eyes. Our biggest auditorium sits up to 295 patrons and our second largest seats 265 patrons. Cinema 4 is one of our local movie theaters in the Lufkin area. It is located in the Lufkin Mall. It is currently under construction to add 5 more screens. They have already redone the 4 screens that already exist. The new seating is about the only difference I can tell and that is nice. The cost of admission is the same for all the other cinema's around here. There employees aren't overly helpful. But, the worst thing here is the popcorn. You would think by tasting it they made it 3 days prior. For the price of the stuff the least you deserve is semi fresh. Not here! If it's stale tasteless popcorn you want here's the place. I just hope that once they get all there theaters open they work on their customer service and refreshment stand. Otherwise when our new theater opens they will be hurting for business! more
