I actually can't believe I havent done a review for them yet. This place is THE ONLY PLACE I go to now. If it means driving 2+ hours to get there I dont care. Previous to finding COS I went to a few other shops for piercings only to have them very badly done. The first time I showed up I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the shop, the friendliness of the staff and owner as well as their knowledge. I went in wanting a bridge piercing and after talking to Art we decided it wouldn't work with my structure and instead I got two lip piercings. I was nervous because of past experiences and I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted at first but with some guidance I got 14G rings. We talked for some time before the procedure about the after care and about different piercings. Once we got ready Art took a lot of time positioning them making sure I was very happy with the placement as well as making sure they were far enough down that the rings wouldn't stick out oddly. I went to the Church of Steel with my daughter for her first piercing. The staff was professional and answer all our questions about everything. Yes they are on the high side of prices but you can't put a price tag on something that is going to stay with you forever. I will go back to get my next tattoo there. They were great. more

If you are looking for a professional experience with the best artists around then look no further. You won't have to worry about catching anything in this place, its cleaner than my doctor's office and you can tell everyone there is very careful to keep it that way. The staff is so nice and helpful in explaining everything to you. It's not overdone with a bunch of tattoo flash on the walls and loud music. You can actually get a tattoo there and be able to relax at the same time which isn't easy to do. I'm thrilled with my tattoo and I always recommend my friends there because i know they'll be taken care of and have a great tattoo they'll be happy with forever. more

This place is well-known downtown. I was recommended by several of my friends to get my piercings done here. Their piercer's name is Evan, and he is as nice as they come. He made me feel comfortable and was very polite. Also, they are arguably cleaner than a doctor's office and now that I have gone there I will never go anywhere else. My friends and i decided to get our first tattos when we went to San Diego. We came across this place and one guy that worked there talked the shop up so much that we decided to get one. As we continued to explain what we wanted to the guy he was very hard to talk to but we figured hey he's the pro. My friend decided to go first and had a hard time with the tattoo and the artist was very impatient and said really rude things. Once it was my turn the guy was so irritated that he wouldnt even have a conversation with me. I actaully made him stop a third of the way through and i walked out because he was so rude. It has been two weeks and my tattoo looks horrible. My lines arent even straight and didnt even connect at the points. My shading is really bad to where there are spots all over and many places where he went outside the line. Overall, the owner is really nice but the artist that did my tattoo sucked. Now i have to pay to get mine fixed and finished. It wasnt worth the higher pric more

These guys have got it. The place is clean, even though it's right in the heart of Downtown and subject to a lot of vandalism over time, and the staff is way cool. They really know what they're doing. And, they're right next to Sushi Deli. Extra points for awesome location. PROS: Knowledgeable staff CONS: Grungy outside more
