Christie Mitchell is the absolute best family lawyer I know ( I have been through 2 previous highly respected lawyers prior to being introduced to Christie). Christie was recommended to me by a marriage and family therapist familiar with my case, I had supervised visitation once a week costing 100 dollars a visit. Christie changed that around inside 6 months. I now have 50% custody of my two boys. She has negotiated a fair support structure and she is a great person to deal with. We have had many laughs and many great conversations around the whole family law ""hell"" I found myself in.\r \r One thing you will notice when you hire Christie is that she has an absolute fantastic rapport with just about everyone at the court house. Christie Mitchell has been great! I have been using her for approximately a year now and with all of the lies my ex was telling I was in some hot water with the Judge when I first met her. By the time we were at our last court hearing my ex didn't even show up for court. She turned the situation around completely and with my help brought facts to the table that made him not even want to show his face anymore. I have since referred her to 4 other people who were in need of assistance and they love her as well! I have nothing bad to say about Christie and I pray her business continues to flourish! Ignore the lies...Christie has stood by me throughout my 4-year nightmare divorce, despite the fact that I have been unable to pay her for some time (due to my major chronic health problems and minimal disability income).  ""Margaret H"" has her facts wrong...Interestingly, ""Margaret's"" 9/17 posting was, COINCIDENTALLY the same day my ex ATTEMPTED to file a motion for a new trial. It was not granted on 9/17!  It was actually ""stayed"" till today. Today the judge DENIED A NEW TRIAL partly because my ex's attorney filed it WAAY TOO LATE, but also because there was no merit to a new trial!  Regarding Christie's failure to file the final decree, it was because my ex's previous attorney wasn't responding to her repeated requests for info needed to do so. Then the ex got a new attorney who, unsuccessfully tried to start it over.  I would totally recommend Christie. Her own unfortunate experience with major domestic violence is what lead to the problems noted on the bar assn site. Since then she has overcome so much and she really has a heart for abused women.  Don't listen to the BS. Like one post said, it's a bitter response from someone whose ""friend"" was across the aisle, more testimony that Christie is good peeps!  (Gee, Could this be the same ""Margaret"" whose name appeared in on much of the Facebook evidence my ex used in the attempt for a new trial??? Hmmm...Perhaps she was misinformed by her ""friend"" about the truth!)  Thank you Christie, maybe now I can finally move on with my life. more

She was such a bad lawyer, my friend got to retry his entire divorce case! She represented his ex and NEVER filed the divorce decree, so he had room to retry his case in it's entirety. Thank you Christie for the poor performance. You saved my friend and he ended up with everything he asked for. Keep up the ""good work"" and enjoy the complaint that my friends ex will file against you most likely taking you out of the law field altogether. Very lazy attorney and her ""vacations"" turned out to be nothing more than her suspensions from being able to practice CA state law. She is on probation until September 2013. Christie Mitchell is an outstanding person as well as an excellent Family law attorney. She always explains everything in detail and answers all our questions. My daughter had been to another attorney that took her money and did nothing. Christie helped her prepare for her day in court and it went excellent. Christie Mitchell goes above and beyond her call of duty. Those of you that are bad mouthing her should be ashamed of yourself. Christie Mitchell has been my attorney since January 1, 2008. That's right - she met with me for a new client consultation on a holiday because I needed to be in court the next morning at 8:00 am! She has continued to show up and represent me like no other for the past four years. I was in an extreme domestic violence situation and my children and I were in not being protected by my previous attorney. Christie has kept us protected and supported. She has been there for me and my kids in every emergency situation. She knows the law, knows how to complete her paperwork, knows the best professionals to go to for every situation. I am very concerned about the comments made by Karma and I believe they are libelous. I checked myself because I dont believe people who hide behind fake names. Read the state bar file on Christie and you will see that she was a victim of circumstances - and most importantly she took responsibility, handled the probation well and she is now able to practice law again without any hinderances. My experiences with Christie is that she is out of the mold. She is reasonable, knowlegable and and advocate for fathers. I am a grandmother that has not seem her granddaughter since August 28 because her mother decided to claim my son was abusing her daughter. I wouldnt want my worst enemy to go through what we are going through but Christie has brought us our first ray of hope. And I was referred by a friend that used Christie and she had incredible results. Its too bad you naysayers are brave enough to admit the problems. I would ventrue to say it must be a problem with you. more

I have known Christie since prior to retaining her. I did not want a friend knowing my divorce details, so I dropped $8,000 on a different attorney. My custody went to 12 %, and I fought for 2 years to get 25%. $8,000 GONE. I then retained Christie Mitchell and in ONE APPEARANCE I got what I wanted, and the court even awarded me Attorney's Fees. Thank goodness I found Christie Mitchell. My son was in a terrible custody battle for his two children that were being mistreated by their Mother, for 3 years we battled in the courts for his custody using a local attorney that was highly recommended, we lost over and over again.\r A friend told me about Christie Mitchell and how well she handled her case, I changed attorneys and hired her, she was awesome, my son recieved full custody of his children.
