The doctors at CMC are kind, great with kids, and always address my concerns well. Sometimes the wait is long, but I am almost always able to make same day appts for a sick child, so I really don't mind. Office staff is courteous and call backs are usually prompt. My kids actually enjoy going to Dr Rupp, that says a lot! more

Pediatrician Pride 7/21/2010

Good: minimal wait time, speedy check in and check out service, polite staff, waiting room area is designed for healthy and sick children to minimize the spread of illness. Improvements: Nurse call back service - I have personally left a message and never got a call back form the nurse. Other: Dr. Whittenburg is truly a doctor with a heart for children. Medicine is more than insurance claims and thousands of patients. He takes time with our child and asks questions pertinent to his/her reason for visit. he is personable and talks to parents with "real world" words. He uses practical methods and often times shares other options! Dr. Whitt makes taking children to the pediatrician a pleasure.. more

Quality care, moderate wait time 10/6/2009

Dr. Whittenberg took the time to hear our concerns. He was thorough and did not dismiss us by the meer fact that we hadn't been new parents for 26 years & were new again. He strongly believes that nobody knows their children like the parents. He has 32 years of experience behind him which only adds to our confidence in choosing him. The patient staff was great. The only reasons I did not give this place 5 stars was because sometimes the wait is extended and administrative staff could be a bit more personable but the care can't be beat. more

Pediatrician 8/18/2005

We've been with Children's Medical Center the entire time we've lived in the Upstate. They recently moved to a new office that is laid out well and very kid friendly. As a huge plus, they have a separate "sick" waiting room to keep the contagious kids away from the rest. We see Dr. Rupp, who is a great doctor and a soft-spoken man who is wonderful with kids. He's very knowledgable and great at explaining medical issues in layman's terms. Checkout is quick and painless and insurance claims are filed without issue. There is not a long wait time for appointments. My kids' favorite part? The stickers you get on the way out. :):) I trust this office completely. more

Pediatrician in Simpsonville 8/10/2005

We have been in Simpsonville for 5 years and have switched pediatricians a few times. By far Dr. Charles Wittenberg at Children's Medical Center in Simpsonville is the best one we've found. He listens to me and my children with respect. He doesn't make you feel rushed and no question is a dumb one. Just a super man and doctor. Highly recommend! more
