The atmosphere is good but dont go for the food

Chickie and Petes in Audubon,PA 12/26/2011

Good: Food was excellent. Bad: First and last time visit. Needed utensils for the 3 of us. got two forks and a knife. WTH. Refill for my diet coke was an ice tea. WTH. Wife waited for water for 5 minutes. I waited for my coke refill because there were no more glasses. Left sunglasses on table. Wasn't even out of rest. went back table was cleared. Waitress never came back to tell me what the bus boy found. I had to go and look for her.. Improvements: Service should be top-notch no matter how busy you are.. Other: Comments will not matter because the place was crowded so having 3 people not return really doesn't add up.. more

Yummy seafood 1/28/2006

Small, crowded, noisy but the food is so good. This place has the best seafood even if you feel like you are sitting on someone else's lap while you are eating it. I prefer the neighborhood feel of this original Chickie's over the newer one on the Boulevard. That one has the same great food - but there you get the feel that people are there for the bar scene. I mean, if you're into the bar scene, then go for it, but I like the neighborhood version better. more

Good place for snack. 9/10/2005

Place has good food. Wings are great as are other items. Menu is limited, and not the place to go for a full course meal. Service can be very slow at times. Help is generally very friendly. A place that the locals like to go to. Would rate higher if menu selection had veggies and salad on it. The ribs are good though and everything is cooked to order. more

Crab Fries 9/4/2005

Chickie and Petes has cold beer. They also offer great seafood. There are two seperate bars ( an upstairs and a downstairs). This is also known as the Home of the original Crab Fries. The Robbin's Avenue location is small and can get crowded, and parking is a nightmare there. However, the "regulars" that go there are nice and the staff is good. Give the place a try. more

This location is a little small, but it's worth it. Crab fries are out of this world and I've never had anything from here I didn't like. During football season this place really packs it in as well as their other locations on the Blvd, and down on Packer Ave by the stadiums. They are not overly expensive and offer great seafood. more
