Cher & Co Salon

I've been going to Cher & Co exclusively for years because Courtney's expertise is the best thing that's ever happened to my hair. I can tell her what I want, and, as someone else noted, she'll tell me whether the cut will work with my hair type and how much maintenance it will require. From there, she helps me tweak the style I'm looking for so it will work with my hair type and personal styling habits. I feel totally confident going to Courtney for everything from a trim to the most risky, dramatic cuts. Highly recommended! more

My whole life i have dealt with what I consider horrible hair.It is thick and one side is super curly and the other side is barely wavy. Previous salons never seemed to listen to what I wanted and more often than not gave me a cute hair cut that I could never get to look right for the sheer fact that my hair type was not compatible. Then I found Courtney! Without a doubt the best stylist and only person I trust with my hair. She listens to what I want and if an idea I have will not be a good fit for my hair she tells me and thinks about an alternative style that would be just as hip and flattering on me. I love to have color in my hair but maintaining it cost wise is not always possible. She is always up front and honest about how much upkeep it will take so I can make a decision based on her honest opinion, something I truly respect and admire. To put it simply I would not trust my hair with anyone else and Cher and Company (Courtney in specific) is a lifesaver! Thank you so much Courtney! more

The dedicated hard working stylists at cher & company do not deserve to be negatively critisized on judysbook. They are some of the best stylists around. Their experience is unbelievable the prices are more than fair and you can tell by the salon atmosphere that they all have respect for one another and their clients.Anyone who uses this type of format to take out a personal grudge against someone should be ashamed of themselves.I gave 1 star because I think these sites should not be allowed! YOU KNOW SOMETIMES YOU JUST TRY TO COLOR YOUR OWN HAIR AND IT WORKS FOR AWHILE BUT THEN OMG! ITS THE WORST HAIR IN THE WORLD. THEN CALL CHER & COMPANY THEY CAN FIX ANYTHING YOU SHOULD HAVE A FREE CONSULTATION WITH THE STYLIST IF YOU WANT TO KNOW EXACT COST BECAUSE IT TAKES MORE TIME AND COLOR TO FIX A HOME MESS!!!!! Heather is the ONLY hair stylist who has EVER cut my hair correctly! She is so cool and very creative and hip! She's a sweetheart and I will never go to anyone else!!!!!!! more

Absolutely horrible service, haircut &color mediocre at best. Jan took over 3 hours, and "diluted" a bleach wash too much, hence charging me 3 times for her mistake. Ended up paying $171 for a cut and color that was promised to be $90. Do not go here, spend your money elsewhere. more

I was just into Cher and Company Salon. Over the phone, I asked for the price of a cut and color. They told me it would be $30 for a cut and $55-65 for a color. I booked an appointment. Therefore, you can see my surprise when I was charged $171 after my haircut. The stylist tried to explain that she had to do extra work to color my hair. This would have been fine if she had prewarned me this would be $100 extra!!! Trying to be responsibe, I talked to the manager. After leaving two unaswered messages, the manager called back to say whoever gave the price over the phone was incorrect. What I understood: I was lied to and duped in coming! The haircut was fine, but now I feel and though I was scammed. This dishonesty has lost them a customer, and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. more

About 9 months ago, I found Courtney at this salon and have never been happier with my hair. In fact my sister who lives in Chicago now only likes Courtney to cut and color her hair. I can't say enough wonderful things about her or the salon. more

Emily takes the time to find out what you really want and like, is happy to make suggestions and spends the time getting the cut perfect. I have been going to Emily at Cher & Co. for more than a year now. Getting my hair cut is relaxing experience that I actually look forward to! I won't go anywhere else. more

This has to be one of the best places I have ever gone to for my hair! The prices are very reasonable, I was spending much more at another salon in the same area, for my haircoloring and haircuts! I stopped in and was greeted at the desk by "Tom" who happened to be a stylist, he was free at the time and took me back to his chair. Let me just tell you, I couldn't be happier, he took the time to talk to me and discuss my needs and concerns, and gave me a hairstyle even better than i expected! more

The owner Cher, Tanya, and Leslie are great!! They are all very talented at cutting hair. I would recommend that you try out this salon but make sure that you ask for one of the stylists I mentioned above. I had a not so great experience with another stylist there. Overall the atmosphere, service, and staff are great!!! more
