Let me start by saying if your not willing to pay $35+ for a real quality steak than you havent had a good steak yet. These from what I can tell are usda prime and not cheaper cho...

I was told of all the reasons why we should go to Charleys instead of my favorite Ruth'sChris . Well , Ruth never serves a bad piece of beef maybe service is not the same in ever...

Made reservations for 2 at 8:00, did not get a table until 10 PM. Steak tips were extremely salty, moreover not juicy more

This was the best steak I have ever eaten and the side order of mushrooms were THE BEST!! Never miss a trip to Charley's in Orlando, you won't regret it at all. more

Charley's Steak House 3/11/2004

Hands down one of the all-around best steakhouses ever. Steaks and lobsters the size of planets and service so darn friendly you'd be tempted to ask the server to just sit right down and enjoy with you! I know why they sell the steak knives there. Steaks are mouthwatering and so tender there was no need for knives hence they're trying to get rid of overstock! A must try and would surprise me if it doesn't constantly make the national list! more

Charley's is GREAT 3/11/2004

I've done a lot of traveling (domestic and international), and I've been to Charley's in both Tampa and Orlando. For my money, they're LARGE filet is the best steak I've ever eaten. I make it a point to visit Charley's whenever I'm in Florida. more

Nice or Not?? 10/6/2003

Service was OK but a little contrived and seemed to believe their own hype. Also took along time to get our food. However the steak was excellent. A very distinctive taste and maybe not for all but fantastic meat. Pros: Food, Food, Good parking Cons: Contrived Service more

Charley's Steak House Review 9/4/2003

The atmosphere was perfect, you could go for a formal evening like we did, or you could even go casual. The waiting staff was some of the best service I had ever had. The wine selection was larger then the state of Texas. Avery time I have eaten steak since that trip, I am disapointed. Charley's steak house had the best steak I had ever eaten in my entire life. I haven't eaten a steak that has even come close, to tasting as delisous at that steak we had in Orlando. Also I had some esperagus smother in a souce that was to die for. My recomendation, if you are in Orland go to Charley's, if you are withing 3 to 4 hours of Orlando go to charley's, it is worth the drive. The Charley's Steakhouse on I Drive is not all that great and did not have the selections that the one on Orange Blossom Trail has. The latter should be listed as the best for the service and food quality overall. The one on I Drive caters to the tourist and they forget about the locals that come there. Pros: good food, good drinks Cons: crowded, expensive, no parking more

Top Ten Steakhouse??? 8/12/2003

Who rates these places, people who think Budweiser is the greatest beer in the world and who refer to their dinner as vittles? Charley's steaks taste more like bacon than beef (it's the wood they use -- it taints the beef with a wood flavor). If you'd like to know what steak is supposed to taste like, try a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, or come to New York and eat at Peter Luger. Those are steakhouses. As far as ambiance and service are concerned, there is none -- unless you're comparing it to Denny's. If you eat in fine restaurants even when it's not a special occasion like your 25th anniversary, don't waste your time or your money at Charley's. Oh, and don't forget to bring along a chain saw to cut your bread. Cons: Flavored steak, Horrible bread, Mediocre atmosphere more

I have eaten steaks from all over the world and in most 5 star restaurants. Charleys' steakhouse never disappoints. I come to Orland just to eat there. Keep up the excellent work. Pros: Inexpensive, good parking, good variety of steak Cons: long wait for food more

Charlies Steak House 6/18/2003

I travel frequently and am able to enjoy the offerings of many fine restuarents. Recently I visited Charlie's Steakhouse in Orlando and I was disappointed in the overall experience and the meal. The bread was baked so hard it was difficult to cut even with the steak knife - and I had to ask twice to have that delivered. The waitress was a bit unfriendly and interested in only upping the tab. The appetizer was good and the salad was fair, however the steak was very good. Overall, for the price I dont belive it was a good value. Pros: good steak Cons: sullen waitress, table crowded for 4 more

Charlie's Steakhouse 5/15/2003

Their Filet is excellent, if you like the smoked flavor you will not find a better one. I have only had one bad filet cut and it was promptly replaced. The ambience is above average and the service is excellent. It is a bit pricey but a dollar well spent. more

Charley's #1 in Orlando 5/15/2003

My family and I vacation in Orlando almost every year and there's one place that just gets better every year: Charley's Steak House!!! The food is fantastic and the atmosphere and service are incomparable! There is one thing--aside from their world-class steaks--that makes Charley's so much fun: MARVIN! A tall, black waiter with a deep voice, big smile and an even bigger heart, he makes us laugh(to tears, no less) and he is the perfect example of what the experience at a world-class restaurant should be--FUN! So if you're in the area, and you're craving a steak, or simply a fabulous time HEAD OVER TO CHARLEY'S and ask for MARVIN. Pros: Great Food, Great Fun, Great Atmosphere Cons: Pricey, but worth it! more

Charley's steak house 5/15/2003

When my family went there Charleys was very crowded. We had ordered our appitizers and about 15 minutes later we ordered the main coarse. The appitizers were a bit late in coming and then not 2 minutes later here is our main coarse. The waiter sked how the appitizers were and I told them we didn't have a chance to try them yet. My wifes Fillet was over cooked. My Rib Eye was tough. How do you make a tough Rib Eye? The flavor was also a little too smokey for our tatses. Pros: Lots of wine choices, Salad bar Cons: Crowded, Over priced, Lousey parking more

By far the worst steakhouse I have ever been to. I have had the pleasure of eating at some of the finest because of my travels. Charley's in my opion is very over rated with poor service. The cuts of meat that were shown looked great! What we recieved was equal to a 4 pack from the grocery store. Cons: Overated, Poor Meat Quality more

Orlando's Best Steaks! 1/13/2003

Having dined at Charlie's for the past 10 years I can attest to the consistent quality of their food. The other restaurants listed for Orlando are all good but do not match the consistent quality of Charlie's. All steaks are cooked over a wood fire. They probably have the most extensive wine selection in Central Florida, including a $25,000 dollar bottle of wine awaiting enjoyment. Try them. Pros: Best Orlando Steaks, Excellent service more

Best Steak EVER 1/13/2003

My waitress was horrible, but the steak was out of this world. The other service didn't impress me much either. Another waiter stopped by to see if we were doing wel after not being waited on for over 15 minutes, but it seems to have not accomplished much. I would definitelly go back just hopefully with better service. more
