Certified Service

I discovered John's little shop by accident probably 7 or 8 years ago, and I've always been thankful that I did. I thought I needed $500 worth of work done, but he fixed my '84 Accord for about $50. And another thing I always appreciate (as a wanna be backyard mechanic) is that John seems to almost enjoy me hanging around and dialoguing with him as he works, so I usually learn a few things in the process. He is consistently more concerned about my goals for the vehicle than he is in pushing another repair. John's prices aren't super low, but they are a good value, and his customer service and communication are noteworthy. I have no hesitation in recommending Certified Service to anyone who needs mechanical work done on their car(s)! The repair services of John Davis at Certified Service on Aurora in Edmonds are great! John has been our mechanic for at least 10 years. He's so honest! When our 94 Saturn had some bad problems, John told us he couldn't fix it and to take it to Saturn - so he knows when something is beyond him and doesn't try to bluff you. John has unfailingly been polite and upbeat with my husband and I. He's worked on my 1988 Mazda, on my present 2001 PT Cruiser, and both of our Saturns. The only thing he doesn't do is change oil. He uses software that tells him what to charge so the bills aren't inflated. Being a woman, I'm very glad to report that John doesn't talk down to females.
