A dying pizza :( 4/17/2012

I'm from the New London County where these (Greek) pizza restaurants are in EVERY town, and at least 3. SO when I moved to this area, it was very hard to find one. Once I found this place, it was just like being home. Grinders and pizza are very good. People are always friendly. As with ANY place, sometimes there's a bit of a wait but in my opinion, it's worth it. As with all mom-and-pop stores and restaurants, it's usually not THAT busy, which is sad. People, YOU NEED TO SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES! Stay away from those cra-p-p-y chain 'restaurants'. Anyway, Central Pizza is an old-school (meant in a good way) charming resturaunt that brings back a lot of memories for me. Keep up the good work! PS - they didnt charge me for two toppings for requesting half mushroom, half bacon. Most places will nickle and dime you with such things. more

For 44 years, we have strived to provide prompt and courteous service to ALL who come through our doors, both regulars and customers coming to us for the very first time. Bad Service 3/7/2012

Waiting a half an hour for two grinders was pitiful. My wife and I had to leave the establishment. I believe they cater to people who frequent the restaurant. It's either that or perhaps we were minorities. more

Terrible pizza 11/18/2006

This was the first pizza place we tried 32 years ago when we moved into town. In those days thick crusted pepperoni pizza was the norm and this pizzaria was our favorite. Over the intervening years our tastes have changed and we ignored this place for many, many years until a recent visit. Wow - talk about deja vous - nothing has changed, the same oily, thick crusted pizza is being sold to, I swear, the same clientle. I am looking for to our next visit in 2050.
