Don't buy here! One multi-unit owner (at least 27 units on airbnb) bullies every one else. Gang of 4 runs the board & few owners bother w/meetings any more. No community--lots of harassment and animosity. Game room always locked. "Gym" is filthy and barbells starting to rust. Exposed rebar & potholes (a few are patched) in upper level garages. Office closed to residents unless you're a big owner. Office does NOT answer phone calls.Try Security. Yeah. 2 maintenance guys for 400 units. Cruddy lino replaced marble in elevators and doesn't match. Asbestos all over building. HOA fees (hit 1 BR units hardest at $588) should cover long overdue repairs but somehow they're never done. Where has all that HOA $$$ gone? Anyone's guess bc board refuses to open books. One owner known for having inside scoop + keys to see units w/o owner permission. That's actually against the law. Since firing guy who picked up trash, grounds look bad. Used to have beautiful landscaping, but it was torn out.(Why?) Winter 2017/18 one bldg w/o heat for over a month. Original pipes in one bldg--50 years old. Buy your water! Many units on the market and not moving. Lots in foreclosure. This should be a great complex but it's not. Don't believe a word about "branding." Branding requires a good product. Liberty Towers HOA fees are less & you get more there. Sad, sad, sad. Seems a deliberate strategy to let the place go to pieces.
