Best

My family and I royally enjoyed ourselves at the park and also at Hotel Breakers. We loved the feeling of the place with all the old pics on the walls. Our experience in August...

Worst

For about 20 years I make an annual trip and this was the worst one ever. I was there in the middle of the week, and it is the 2nd year in a row that they don't have Top Thrill D...

Draw The Line 8/27/2002

Cedar Point (CP) has and always will be a local pride and favorite. I feel I need to say ""I do not or ever have worked for CP"" when I explain how upset I get with Six Flags for discriminating a local legend like CP in their own commercials... unless those big corporations feel CP is an honest threat. Pros: Good Parking, Clean, Worlds Top Coasters more

Unbelievable Coasters! 8/23/2002

More roller coasters than you can shake a stick at, and don't forget to sample the french fries and the fudge! Pros: great coasters more

Awesome Place 8/19/2002

I've been to Cedar Point twice, and would love to go back every year. The rollercoasters are some of the best in country. Of course the lines are long... what do you expect at rides rated top in the country, the world?? It was a good idea for them to get the hand stamp system. I used my stamp for the Millenium and waited not ten minutes before I walked onto the ride. The first time though was worth the 2.5 hour wait. The food is expensive, but is food not expensive at nearly ALL major theme parks? For a group of SIX to eat at Disney it cost over 100 dollars a MEAL. You just have to expect things like long lines and expensive food at a major theme/amusement park! Cedar Point is a great park; props to the men that came up with the idea for Cedar Point! Pros: Rides, Food, Gifts Cons: None! more

Hell Yeah CP! 8/19/2002

Cedar Point is the best amusement park in the world! You can surely tell by the record holding rollar coasters, the fun family atmosphere, the friendly staff, etc. As a young girl my family owned a boat on Lake Erie and we would get season passes to CP. We would go there 6-7 times a year. These type of trips brought my family together and we bonded. My sister and I have the priveledge of knowing that we have rode every ride in the park. I wouldn't trade those many CP trips for anything in the world. CP is a great place to spend time with you family or to go with friends. I have so many fond memories of CP that I keep going back year after year! I wish i could tell you all of my memories but i am limited to 150 words :) Pros: rollar coasters, fun atmosphere Cons: sometimes long lines more

Highly Impressed 8/19/2002

I go to a lot of different amusment parks each year.As my mom was looking at possible choices of where we would go last year she came across Cedar Point, in Sandusky,Ohio. As a rollercoaster enthusiest I was thrilled. When I actually got there it was nothing I would have imagined. The selection of rides was amazing! They have the best and most updated rollercoasters, and they also have rides to please the younger and older family members. With so much different stuff to choose from this is a vacation that is sure to please everyone. Pros: rides, facilities Cons: lines, prices more

Gotta Love 'em All!!! 8/19/2002

Having been to Cedar Point many many times over the years, I've always enjoyed the park. The lines can get long, especially for the more popular coasters. This year they added ""expressway pass"" for the more popular rides. Get a hand stamp, come back within that 1hr time, and skip most of the line. Camp Snoopy gives the little ones something to do, and the ""parent pass"" lets groups with kids send a group through the line like normal, then after they finish, up to two adults can go in the exit and catch generally the next train. For the best times to go, I would say before the first week of June. The kids are still in school, keeping the waits down. Prices can be steep, but there are almost always some discounts around, either by getting tickets in advance, or through special offers or coupons. Pros: World class coasters, Many things to do, Family friendly Cons: Lines can get long more

Definitely an AMAZEment Park 8/19/2002

Cedar Point is hands-down the best roller-coaster park in the country. I've visited everything from Kings Island (OH) to Busch Gardens (FL) to Six Flags (CA). While all these parks are all very amusing in their own way, they're more ""theme"" parks than roller-coaster parks...and THAT is the biggest difference. Instead of trying to find some catchy slogan & mascot for the kiddies, Cedar Point has always focused on the thrill ride. They've broken nearly every barrier year-after-year for highest, fastest, longest, steepest and down-right scariest roller coasters. The best part of all, of course, is not many people are familiar with Cedar Point. This keeps lines down even during the season - usually no more than 1-1/2 hours for even the newest rides (Raptor, Mantis, etc) and sometimes as little as 15 minutes for some of the mainstays (Gemini...fun, and even the Magnum (incredible) lines are short at times). Pros: most coasters around, never overcrowded, friendly staff Cons: parking (no tram now), getting to be pricey, traffic thru town more

fun but need more time 8/19/2002

Need more time to see and do all of the attractions due to the extremely long lines 2 1/2 hours for one roller coaster Pros: biggest coasters, lots of attractions, good food Cons: crowded, long lines more

The Point! 8/19/2002

We always have a great time, great roller coasters, kids rides and food! We spend the whole day and never get tired! more

It's ALL That!!! 8/19/2002

There are other amusement parks out there? I thought Cedar Point was the only one!!! Since I was a little kid, I've gone every year, and I love it. If you're going for the purpose of riding all the roller coasters, don't take the kids. But for a family trip, Cedar Point has something for the whole family!!!! Best rides, best view...Cedar Point is TIGHT!!!! (Don't leave your wallet at home, though.) Pros: Rides, Friendliness Cons: Expensive, Sometimes crowded more

Shakin' by the Lake 8/18/2002

Cedar Point has something for all ages..really. Coaster enthusiasts are in heaven, but there is plenty for the little ones to do. The shows and lakeside setting, make this park enjoyable for even the more faint of heart. I've grown up at this amusement park. It gets better every year. Ohio is lucky to have this unique amusement park in its own backyard! Best bet is to take advantage of the off-season weekend. There's all the fun with half the lines. Pros: thrilling, great location, clean Cons: expensive, long lines at times more

COASTERS 'R US 8/14/2002

Best coasters on the planet and more than anywhere else. But those coaster lines are very long. Cedar Point could get a clue from other theme parks that are using something like ""express pass"" for shorter lines. During peak summer time, the lines are too long to ride every coaster in the park in one day. But the ""bonus weekends"" during Sept. and Oct. are the best if you can visit then - no temps in the mid 90's and no long lines! Pros: coasters, sprawling, HallowScream weekends Cons: No "express pass", Crowded, Expensive more

Don's Cedar Point Review 8/12/2002

Best time to go here is during the week, whatever you do don't go on the weekends. The is place is packed to the limit on weekends, during the week is best time because most people work and do not go to this place till the weekend. Pros: lot of stuff to do, good family place Cons: expensive, some rides crowded more

a great place for fun 8/10/2002

there is something for everyone of all ages at cedar point. more

Better than Six Flags 8/8/2002

Cedar point is more family friendly. Not only do they not have beer sellers walking around (like those found in stadiums), the games and other annoying venues aren't overbearing and too populated. The food is not as overpriced, and of course, the coasters are better. Truely, America's Roller Coast :-) Pros: Great rides, Family fun, Great value more

10 8/8/2002

I visited Cedar Point last summer from California. Our amusement parks here can't even compare. I was blown away by Millinium Force and Magnum XL. The park had a lot of charm and great view of the Ohio river. It had a great atmosphere, and easy to get too. Loved the Coasters. The only thing is little less bugs would of been better. My family and I will definately go back again. Pros: friendly workers, access to attractions Cons: closes too early, should open earlier more

Fabulous!!! 8/7/2002

Excellent family park! There was something for everyone here. Plenty of kids attractions, food vendors, games, attractions of every sort. The Roller Coasters are the best in the country! Every adrenalin junkie should visit Cedar Point...America's Roller Coast. more

Great place to visit and work! 8/3/2002

I grew up in Sandusky, Ohio and worked seven summers at Cedar Point. It was a great amusement park 25 years ago, and continues to improve each time I visit. Not only is it a wonderful experience for visitors, it provides summer employment to high school and college students from around the country. It put me through four years of college. A great place to forget your troubles to all those who visit and a great employer (and experience) for hundreds of people (mostly students) who work there. Fantasy for those who want it and employment for those who need it. I'm always proud of Cedar Point when discussing it with others...it was a great time when I visited to ride the roller coasters, eat cotton candy or swim, and I had a great time as an employee, too. Pros: Variety ofattractions, Cleanliness, Employee Friendliness Cons: Long lines more

I Love This Park 8/3/2002

Cedar Point is the best ammusement park in the world. I have been there countless times and every time I return it just gets better each visit. Got to love the old wooden coasters along with the sleek and smooth steel coasters as well. There is something for everyone to do and I garuntee that once you visit you will definately want to come back numerous times. Pros: Great Attractions, Fair Like Food, Great Arcade Cons: Long Lines, Seasonal Opperation, Summer Weather more

Best Park in America... 8/3/2002

Cedar Point is by far the best park I have been to in America. A great display of rides; especially coasters. Mix in a few shows, a great train ride, and the lake and it is great. Only thing I wished the park did was keep try a bit harder to keep you cool if you have to wait in line. Again, the best park in America!! Pros: Great Coasters, Great for Family, Good Parking Cons: Food Pricey more
