Many Excellent Items 11/26/2011

Some of the menu items stand out such as General Tsao chicken and crab ragoon. Stick along those lines and you will probably enjoy your meal. I had Egg Foo Young that was a little bland, but good overall. Fresh. I personally did not like the egg roll that I had, it did not seem as though the sprouts used were fresh. I definitely believe that they make their own egg rolls and soups. I do feel that they are the best Chinese restaurant in Downriver, just figure out what you like there and stick with it. I will keep going to find out what else is good. more

Great Atmosphere 3/12/2011

Ate at Cathay House this evening while watching the Michigan State game AT THE BAR! Sat down at the bar to watch the game while waiting for my pick up order and ended up staying to eat there while having a few beers served by a beautiful young bartender named Tiffany. Went for carry out but was so taken by atmosphere that I couldn't leave. Food, as always, was top notch. The egg rolls are the best, huge and full of shrimp. Been going there for years and never even noticed the bar until tonight. Glad I did! The bartender was drop dead gorgeous and her service was awesome. Just found my new place to watch the game! more

Best Chinese Around 3/12/2011

The owner actually showed me that all of the meat and produce comes in fresh daily. All the egg rolls are made there and all of the different fried rice dishes are made when you order them, simply doesn't get fresher. The waitstaff are all as beautiful as they are efficient at there job. Never have had bad service there honestly. They also have a full service bar that just added Keno. My wife and I like to enjoy a drink at the bar and play Keno before heading to our table for the dinner. For my money the best dining experience of Chinese food in the area. Enjoy. more
