When a child goes to college it can be an uncertain time to understand the best option for your son or daughter. My daughter is a senior @ Carson Newman and I can say the experience has been rewarding. She has matured and the school has provided and fostered a great education curriculum and environment. more

Excellent educational institution 11/17/2005

Carson-Newman is an excellent college. The well-qualified staff and administration are concerned about the success of the students. And, even though it is expensive, I received great financial assistance there because of the generosity of donors. more

An ok college 11/6/2005

Carson-Newman is an ok place to send your children if you trust them to conduct their lives according to the way you raised them.There just isn't a lot of supervision here.People are expected to behave as adults,problem is,they're often very young.The curriculum there ican be tough,but people have been to share answers on tests.Education is somewhat liberal,even though it bills itself as a Christian college.There are plusses to Carson-Newman,but obvious minuses also. PROS: conveniently located if you live here CONS: too unsupervised if you're away from home more

One of the best 11/6/2005

Carson Newman may be small, but it is one of the best colleges in the country. I had the best educational experience of my life there. The professors are superb. The campus is safe, and parking is not a hassle. There is a real community spirit at Carson Newman - everyone is so welcoming and kind, like one big family. It's expensive, but the financial aid counselors are very helpful. more

  • Carson-Newman College is a learning center that offers Christian and liberal arts education programs. The college has a counseling department that provides care and support services for students who experience personal and family problems. It has a library that offers various educational resources, including databases, journals, e-books and college archives. The college provides memberships for various clubs and organizations, such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, forensics team, habitat helpers and psychology club. It offers academic programs in business, economics, athletic training, communication, exercise science, family and consumer science, foreign language and music. The college also offers degree programs in accounting, family business, marketing, management, speech communication, interior design and health care administration. Carson-Newman College is located in Jefferson City, Tenn.
