Like the other review, the exact same thing happened to me! Do not pay in full, he maybe a great dentist, I’m not sure? But I can GUARANTEE he isn’t an orthodontist and does horrible work! more

I’m not sure where to start except; DO NOT PAY IN FULL, UP FRONT BECAUSE YOU WILL BE TREATED UNFAIRLY! And when he decides he’s done, he will take off your braces leaving you with huge gaps and refusing to put them back on. Not that I would want them back on from him because the brackets kept braking and he REFUSED to fix them, leaving me with a one inch wire sticking through my guns!!! My mistake with this dentist was not understanding that he was NOT an orthodontist, but simply a dentist with promises to deliver [orthodontist-like] results. Big mistake not clarifying that requirement early on. Thorough my dissatisfaction.. I saught independent consults with 3 “real orthodontists” and who all independently said conventional braces would have the capability to move my teeth correctly. My choices were to start over and pay again for braces or live with the horrible work he has done. Lesson learned: go to practicioners with extensive specialized schooling in moving teeth... That's why they're called "orthodontists" rather than "dentists". Dentists are great at their specialty, but just because they may have done a ton of brace cases like my provider... It doesn't mean they're where you should go for service. They may simply be excellent at marketing. Hence ~ He teaches the classes for 6 month smile, ANY DENTIST CAN DO THAT, doesn’t mean they’re qualified. more

First off, yes this is a real review. I am a local realtor in Myrtle Beach and place a high emphasize on client service in my business. I, like most Americans, hate going to the dentist and was under the care of another before finding Carolina Forest Cosmetic Denistry & Mr. Holladay. I don't know what the reviewer above is talking about because this place is very much different. When I called in the first time, Lauren took all my information, was extremely helpful and pleasant (also showed great patience when I accidentally gave my wrong insurance information haha). When I walked through the door for the first time, she seemed ecstatic to see me (and trust me I'm not that important). Their office is extremely clean and has a lot of updated technology that makes the experience less painful. Everyone in the office was so dang nice and made me feel like I had been going there for years. Mr. Holladay is not pompous as the reviewer above mentioned, he is extremely laid back and although I was in for just a basic cleaning, he made it a point to come over and small talk with me for 10-15 minutes. As a dentist, he was refreshing! They have earned my business for the rest of my time in the Grand Strand and will be recommending them to anyone needing a professional and nice dentist office. Try them out and I promise you will not be disappointed. Going to the dentist is never a great chunk of your day but at least at Mr. Holladay's office you get to talk to some awesome, nice people. Mr. Holladay & Staff - Keep up the great work and thank you for your kindness accepting me as a new patient in your office. :) more

This is unfortunately the worst dental care I hav eever rec'd. Firstly, I was misled, regarding a 6 mos smile braces, which took nearly twice as long. Secondly. exactly 5wks after the braces came off. My teeth started to revert and become crooked. Additionally during patient status at this office, I was mistreated , unheard when I had concerns and complaints, and was told nothing could be done to achieve straight teeth after I paid all my due amount in full..i was told i had "baby teeth that were small and that's that. The front office staff was courteous but the dentist is pompous and his work is very poor. I am so disappointed and would hope I can save you trouble by not using this provider. more
