Carol Lewis Skin Care

I am very dissatisfied with the Carol Lewis Spa's service. After my massage I had lower back pain for 2 weeks and I could hardly walk. Also, they canceled my manicure appointment the day of my appointment because their nail technician was sick and they only have one nail technitian!!! more

My pedicurest was Laurn all she could do was talk about her Dr. boyfriend and all the money he spends on her. I was tring to tell her want I wanted done she just kept blowing me off and at on point she even answered her phone!! I will make sure I tell everyone how bad she was at her job. The pedicure was $65.00 and instead of an hour it was 35 minutes.I thought you might want to know I know she dropped an application down the street. She said that the owner was too crazy where she works. I have a friend that works at this spa. She also had all of the customers on a list with her. I wanted you to know that Machael typed her up a list with everyones information on it. From what I understand there are 3 people walking out. I thought you should know. You better pay attention to you staff. more

I have been going to Ellen since 2007 for waxing and facials. I found her from an article in Allure magazine ...and have been going there ever since. The front desk staff especially Michelle are also great to deal with! more

The staff is great, especially Ellen. The only complaint I have about this wonderful spa is the owner, Carol. I've received facials and waxings from her. She does a decent job but talks incessantly about her love life. Not exactly what I'm looking for when I go to the spa! She is completely annoying and makes the spa experience anything but relaxing! Also, I've heard that she arbitrarily changes her prices on customers, so do not trust what is posted on their site! more

I love this place! Ellen gives the best facial ever! She is also a great bikini waxer, very quick with little discomfort. Excellent experience from the moment I book the appointment through to the end. I won't go anywhere else for facials or waxing. more

Not only was my Facial amazing with Ellen. I got my nails done with Lauren and they never looked better! I felt completly relaxed from head to toe when I left. Not to mention the receptionist was extremley helpful and friendly. My experience rocked! more

This Spa rocks! It's beautiful and at the same time very comfortable and welcoming. It seems to be "the place" to go. I'm writing this at the end of December 2008. As busy as it was there at the holidays, they took good care of me and gave me my full time. I love it here! I feel great! Truly. Try it! more

I JUST WENT TO SEE ELLEN YESTERDAY FOR A SPECIALTY FACIAL.... SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL IN WHAT SHE DOES. I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH ACNE AND SHE KNEW SO MUCH ABOUT IT AND KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO FOR ME TO SEE IMPROVEMENT INCLUDING RECCOMENDING PRODUCTS AND VITAMINS THAT I SHOULD TAKE. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SPA ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO CLEAR UP YOUR ACNE. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! THEY MAKE YOU FEEL AT HOME AND VERY COMFORTABLE. I LOOK FORWARD TO GOING BACK FOR MORE TREATMENTS AND AM VERY CONFIDENT THAT THESE FACIALS WILL CLEAR MY SKIN UP FAST! HIGHLY RECCOMENDED. THE ATMOSPHERE IS VERY RELAXING! more

Wow.. painful. My skin is very clean and feels amazing, but the process was excruciating. No tools, just squeezed my face till i cried. more

Went here for a bikini wax, but was disappointed after spending $60 (with tip) and receiving a barely average wax job. The place was nice but small, and the service was decent but a little overpriced. Although the girl was nice, she seemed to rush through the job. Wouldn't go back here any time soon. more

I just came back from the best massage ever by Lauren! Although it was NOT peaceful. There was extremely loud talking outside my door almost the entire time- could you believe it was the owner carrying on and on about skin care? Very nice. I have never been so tense at a massage in my life. She stopped talking for 10 minutes then started up again. I asked two times for her to please keep it down. Then when I left my room - she was standing outside and gave me a look up and down. She is not the only spa in Michigan. I will definitely take my business elsewhere. Carol does a great job in hiring a knowledgeable staff, but should really check her attitude at the door. A spa is a service business and only keeps in business by people who visit the salon. Shouldn't the clients be treated with respect? The girl at the front desk gave me a discount of $20. It broke my heart to still pay $90 for the stressful atmosphere. Too bad I couldn't just give the money directly to my massage lady. She worked very hard for her money, but it was ruined by the owner. I have had services performed by Ellen, and she's not only a wonderful aestetician, she's an interesting person to speak with! The service is top-notch, but yes, it's not cheap. They do have a lot to offer, though. The only real complaint I have is, the parking situation there is awful - you have to walk two blocks from a parking structure to get in there. It was so good to spoil my sweetheart at this Spa. They are professional and made us feel well cared for and comfortable. I would buy a gift certificate to go to Carol Lewis Day Spa again. more

I called to find out about the facilities and had some questions about the services offered but before the woman wanted to hear that she insisted I tell her how much I would spend. When I said $100 she said I wouldn't get much. I don't like being pressured into spending more money and she made me feel ridiculous for calling. Pros: I was told they have a couch to sit at while you're waiting for your appt. more
