Dr, Kaiser and Helen are a perfect fit for each other. I love them both. Dr, kaiser is the best doctor I have ever had. She truely cares about her patients and listen when you are talking to her. I hate loosing her as she goes on her new endeavor as Medical Director. She deserves her new position and I wish her well, but boy! as I going to miss her as my doctor. more

excellant physician care 11/17/2011

Have have been a patient of Carmel Family Physicians for the past 20 years. I have been a patient of Dr Lauren Hull for the past 4+ years, she is very caring and an excellant physician, I have a very difficult case w/ multiple medical problems, she does not hesitate to send you to a specialist if she thinks it will bring you closer to resolving the problem, since I am a difficult case she always asks the front desk for extra time when making my appt., so she can spend enough time with me . Her nurse Pat is awesome and works hand and hand w Dr Hull, she always has a nice word for you and a smile on her face,Pat knows my many problems and always returns phone calls back in a timely fashion. The people @ the front desk are very nice and efficient, I was a nurse for 35 years and I know a well working medical practice when I see one. Dr Hull and her nurse are a great team, I feel privileged to have such a caring, excellant team working for me. I have recommended several people to Dr Hull. more

Exists Just to Bill your insurance... 2/17/2011

I am so extremely disappointed with Carmel Family Physicians. About the only things they have going for them is location and appointment availability. We have been their numerous times (again, simply because of location and ease of getting an appointment) in hopes it would get better, but it never has. Countless misdiagnosis': twice told my spouse it was just allergies when in fact it was a sinus infection, ""diagnosed"" my spouse with flu (strand B) but didnt bother doing blood work, checking the throat, or a strep test (strep has been associated with the flu as of late). In my opinion, this practice exists not for true patient care or concern, but as an insurance billing machine. If you're in a bind and need to get in to see someone fast, I would go to an urgent care facility...sure you may pay more as a copay, but I am sure you wouldnt have to end up going to another doctor or going back to Carmel twice to get the right care you need! more

Excellent Family Physicians 9/29/2009

Dr. Davis has been my family physician for almost two years and I could not be any happier. She has always spent adequate time with me during my appointments and I have never felt like ""just a number"" with her. more

Wonderful care! 1/6/2009

A friend gave us the name of Geoff Wrinkle and we LOVE him!!! He is the best Dr. I have ever had, listened intently to me, he has been pursuing the problem that I have and has a terrific bed-side manner. My daughter from Asheville was having some problems, and came to visit us. We went to see Dr. Kelly for her, and she loves him too! Very attentive, and has really impressed us with his compassion. We have also received notes from both of the Drs thanking us for coming to their practice!!!! \r \r We are most impressed with everything phase that we have encountered at Carmel Family Physicians with these two Drs!!! Highly recommend them, and IF they were to leave, we would go with them wherever they went! \r \r Ron Oliver Pros: parking, convenience, short waiting time, Dr. Kelly and Dr. Wrinkle are terrific more

Seriously? Do they use gold plated stethoscopes? 12/16/2008

I am recently returned from doing overseas service work (ie: no pay) and have been unable to find a job here in the Charlotte area which means I have no insurance coverage. I have had a problem with my right ear (probably just dirt built up) for several months and was hoping to get my ears cleaned. I have been a patient at Carmel Family Physicians for over 20 years so I thought I would call and ask what their rate was to clean my ears. The office visit has gone up to $109 dollars (just to see a nurse or a PA) and the cost to clean my ears was an additional $140. I kid you not! This is ridiculous for the 15 minutes of their time that I need. I was not requesting a complete physical, any bloodwork, etc. Just a short appointment for someone to look at my ears. \r \r I have been displeased with this location for several years, but assumed it was just bad timing etc. However, one can be objective and state that $249.00 to get one's ears cleaned is ridiculous no matter how long one has been a patient. I strongly suggest that everyone avoid pandering to these over-priced under-concerned physicians. Pros: spiffy waiting room upholstery Cons: COST, lack of concern more

I'll take my business to someone that acutally cares about me as a total patient - not just when I'm sick 12/4/2008

I moved to the Charlotte area in September '08. By December, I still hadn't established doctors in the area, so I called this clinic upon the recommendation of a colleague. I wasn't sick, but I do have some significant pre-existing conditions that I need to have managed by a doctor. When I called, I told the receptionist that I'd like to schedule an appointment to get my medical records transferred and to establish a patient record complete with referrals (if needed) to specialists, etc. I move fairly frequently and have ALWAYS had to do this with other physicians before I could be seen as a ""patient"". The receptionist told me that they don't have ""those kinds"" of appointments on patients and that if I wanted to come in, I could either wait until I was sick or I could schedule a physical, but that would be several months out. I said to her ""oh, okay, well, because of my pre-existing conditions, I've always had to be a patient of record before being seen"" and she responded with ""no, we'll just see if there's anything we need to know about you when you get sick and come in."" Seriously? When I do get sick, I don't particularly want to go to someone that knows absolutely nothing about me OR my medical history or be relied upon to complete a medical history on the spot while feeling lousy and probably not thinking clearly. I'm still without a doctor, but I'll take my business elsewhere, thanks. Pros: Close to my new office Cons: Wouldn't let me in the door unless I was sick or scheduled a physical for several months out more

Nice, thorough, and treated us well! 4/24/2007

After moving here last summer, we didn't immediately find a family physician, so here we were, 9 months later without a doctor. Carmel Family Physicians is convenient to us, takes a number of insurance plans and accepts new patients. I got an appointment for the next day (!!!), and the doctor who saw my daughter was really, really nice. She was very thorough, listened to our concerns, and had a very caring manner. She also didn't treat us like idiots, which certainly can happen. I was very happy we found her. My daughter had to get a shot, which she freaks about, but the nurse who administered was the quickest and most pain-free I've ever seen. My fraidy-cat daughter smiled when it was over! \r \r Other things, our wait was minimal, maybe 5-10 minutes, and checkout was easy. I am very happy we found Carmel Family Physicians! Pros: Friendly staff, great doctor more

Diagnosis caveat emptor 3/21/2007

I so wanted to find a good doctor and practice. My experience at Carmel Family Physicians from the start was a lack of good customer service, a doctor whom I saw only a few minutes and seemed not at all interested, and a misdiagnosed lab test. Instead of the doctor phoning to set up another appointment to discuss my ?so-called? condition, I simply had a nurse tell me I had such and such of a disease, to get some pills with this prescription and did not even tell me to have a nice day. I had to go to the Internet to see what she was telling me I had and what the prescribed medication was going to do to me. I have to say I was a bit upset. About a week later and with no apologies, a nurse calls me to let me know that there had been a mistake ? oops! I have heard similar stories since about this practice. Pros: Location Cons: Proper medical treatment more
